Lot of people on HB have no clue what they are talking about.

Skinner is literally top 10 in goals in the last 3-4 seasons. His analytics are insane. He draws penalties like a mad man. Other then Skinner we had only Eichel who was able to score goals. The guy is overpaid by maybe $1-1.5 mill. That’s nothing to cry about when nobody is knocking down our doors to wanting to be here. We still have $20+ mill available. Next season another $20 some mill comes off the board (that’s not counting resigning Reino, Montour and Mitts).

If this contract was signed 2 seasons ago then we’d be looking at probably $6-$7 mill per. But inflation takes its tole. Stone got over $9+. Panarin will get $11+. Caps going up. Simple economics.

Isn’t good defensively? Guy is one of the best players in the league when it comes to analytics. TML fans always jealous. Try getting past the first round next season.

When was that Crosby contract even signed? Inflation over the years. If players wanted salaries to stay stagnant forever they would’ve just never created the CBA.
