Aren't all us Scouts fans supposed to hate the Blues?
You did love the Scouts, didn't you Jay?!
Go Kansas City!
But seriously, happy to see St. Louis make the final and I wish them luck.
They've waited a long time. Nothing against the Sharks, but just saying. |

Great read, thank you for the short recap of what happened early on in the teams history. There are so many people in this city who are ecstatic just to see the organization in the finals. It’s truly incredible that it’s been 49 years just get back to there. The Bruins are going to have their hands full. The city of St. Louis and this Blues team are ready. Blues in 6 |

LOL, as an old time Flyers fan (my earliest memories of the team go back to about 70 or 71 and watching a very young Bobby Clarke), it's hard to like the Blues. As a little kid, they were the first NHL team I truly hated.
However, a lot of time has passed and I have a lot of respect for an old school warrior like Craig Berube. Plus, I'm sick of Boston and would hate to see those mongrel southie scuzzballs win another Cup, especially on a team that employs a jackass like Brad Marchand.
GO BLUES!! |

Thanks.
I was at the game where the Blues went in the stands. IIRC, it was went they went off the ice at the end of the 2nd period. At that time, the visiting team left the ice at the zamboni entrance. I think it was precipitated by someone dumping their beer on Al Arbour.
I was in 1st grade. We had a 14 game ticket plan with seats in the lower bowl at the other end behind the net.
Unfortunately, Gerry Meehan knocked the Flyers out of a playoff spot with 4 seconds left in the entire season and my father decided to not get season tickets the following season (the ticket plans were being eliminated).
Oh well. |

Great article. Once Carolina got eliminated in the ECF this playoffs became one "without a happy ending". However, the best possible ending now is one where the Bruins are defeated, so I will have to cheer for the Blues, despite Berube and some of the thugs on his team. The Bruins are my third least favorite team and seeing them hoist the Cup again would make me barf .
One thing to watch out for is that the Bruins' dirtiness and cheapness varies depending on whether they are winning or losing in a game/series. When they are winning Marchand is just an ordinary rat but once they are losing he turns into a giant rabid sewer rat.
Also, if you think the Sharks got favorable officiating wait until you see what the Bruins get. |

Hate the Blues, but this was a GREAT article.
Just not great enough to squeeze for you in the finals.
Go Bruins ( but gags thinking about Marchand) |
