Why include those other 2 (frank)s as if they're the main part of the deal?

Wondering how many of the good teams, that actually make it past the 1st round of the playoffs, actually have super soft players like Willy, on their roster?
This team is already loaded with those soft types, time to get some skilled players that aren't soft...No to Willy.
Build through the draft.

Nylander is too young to be whatever he will be for the rest of his career ...there are lots of players over the years that were called soft and no good in the playoffs and then they just finally figured it out

Pavel Datsyuk had 3 goals in his first 42 playoff games ...including a 3 year span with 0 ...he was called soft and said that you couldn’t win with him ...then he figured it out.

Freidman said the eve of Nylander's deadline , Benning made a trade offer. Benning does have some interest.

He is a lazy skilled player. I don't see the fit,and I do see the fit.

I was looking at Cap Friendly and Canucks have one of the best cap situations going into this year. They removed last years cap. They have added the estimated 83 mil cap hit. Canucks are seventh lowest cap with 20 players signed. Most of the teams with more cap have 13 or 14 players signed.

Canucks can look at some cap stuck teams and make deals like Vegas who have 0 cap space and 19 players signed.

Good job Dim Jim

Pretty sure Dubas gave Nylley a promissory NTC.

Unless it is a secret handshake like the Masons there is none listed on Cap Friendly

10 team no trade list during his contract year. That doesn't hamper moving him too much if it comes to that.

It was one of the main parts of the holdout. WN didn’t want to sign a deal, and then get traded, because he wanted to be part of winning a cup in TO (with all the other stars). I believe Dubas promised him that as long as he was the GM he wouldn’t do that deal. Now, it’s just a promise, but...

Exactly.

I am not a Nylander fan but you can't argue against his point production. If I had to chose between Kirby Dach and Nylander it is a no brainer , I would do the trade.

I like Canucks young D core coming up and one of the reasons I don't see Canucks taking on a long term UFA on D. We have Woo who should be ready in two years or less. Hughes stepped in last year. I think Juolevi should finally play some time this year. I liked what I saw from Sautner and Briesbois last year and I like Rafferty.

I still want Canucks to take a Dman with their first pick this year and then I will be happy so I wouldn't trade the 10 th . I would though trade the 2020 first for WN

Id try and move that 1st for a young dman if we dont love one of them there. Maybe see if we can get bouchard and a cap dump for the 1st. I doubt it but its worth a call

I do like the D available.I think Canucks do too. I like Broberg and I know most here don't.

He is big , skates well , has a good shot , plays both sides which is huge IMO

He really does remind me of Edler . Like him or hate him Edler has been Canucks best Dman for a Decade. Yes I know the irorny of Vantel/Edler fandom.

lol ya I wouldn't quite lump in Nylander with Datsyuk regardless of Datsyuk's early PO struggles. Different players different level.

You don't trade the 10 OA for a Nylander-type player when we have needs such as a RHD. Hughes is gonna be killer but our D core literally has not been the same since Salo left...that's how important that RHD is.

Now what would the Flames give us for the 10 OA? lol

Regular season he's probably ok but after that...

Offer sheet Marner and go from there...

Draft Broberg . Trade for Andersson and Colin Miller . Get one more top 6 forward. Sign Brock long term , Edler short term . Move up four spots next year and I am happy camper
