Not at all. Just saying that people can put an asterisk wherever they want, but that doesn't change that it still happened.

Also, this will all be a forgotten issue in 5 years, just like the "intent to blow the whistle" in the SCF a few years back.

Yeah, no one talks about the Hull skate in the crease travesty anymore.... oh wait.

But since you are making the claim, go ahead, tell us. Which terrible missed call leading directly to an overtime goal did Sharks overcome to win the game anyways?

great argument here, act like only overtime calls matter....getting gifted high stick goals, getting two goal swings in games don't matter at all, being scored on while one of your player is being savagely attacked by reaves, blatant trips in the final minute leading to game killing EN instead of a powerplay neither. Particularly if you force OT and then get a bounce, how dare you!

the worst is people say it's different when in OT or at the end of a game....yet, it's right in the middle of a 7 game series. so I'd say they have MORE than enough time to overcome that call

If it wasn’t for the refs the sharks would t have made it past the first or second round. Then this happens it’s clear Bettman wants them to win this year.

And this coming from a Buffalo "Leafs" Sabres fan

You're talking about different things Sharks had to overcome. Blues had to overcome those things as well. Whether you realize or not, you're just showing your claim there was no difference in what the sharks had to overcome is BS.

Sharks haven't had to overcome any calls nearly as bad, or calls that had nearly as big of an effect on a game. No matter how much you whine about all the little things that have gone equally against every team in the playoffs, sharks have been given a huge advantage by officials that no other team has. It's not fair to the sharks, because it's tainted them being somewhere maybe they could have gotten on their own. But it's even less fair to all the teams that were put at such a huge disadvantage.

I really dont think in the first round it was the refs just giving the game to the sharks. Vegas had a 3-1 series lead and allowed the sharks back in the series losing both games 5 and 6. If vegas can win one of those games then no game 7. The fact they also had a 3-0 lead in game 7 with under 10 mins in the game and couldnt hold on is pathetic. The 5 min major was a pretty brutal call i agree to that. Vegas let in 4 goals in that same 5 min major and that is absolutely pathetic. If they get over the fact that the officials blew that call and just focus on killing the penalty they would have won that series. That game 7 was not the officials giving the game to the sharks, vegas gave the sharks that game by allowing 4 goals in the last 10 mins of that 3rd period. The missed call with that glove pass to the sharks player was definitley a blown call that gave the sharks that game, there is no forgiving that horrible non call by the refs

You know the sharks have had their fair share of GOALS CALLED BACK, ILLEGAL GOALS CALLED GOOD how is that different from the blues the other night?

You minimizing the sharks misfortune and hyping their good break is like me saying:

"It's stupid, a missed hand pass doesn't make a game"

everyone would agree in any other circumstances, but in this game it was really a bad call. I don't minimize the blues tough luck on that game, I just say that the sharks were robbed too at some point and it looks like it's part of hockey.

Officials missed some low importance calls against sharks opponents.
Officials missed an equal number of minor importance calls against sharks.
Officials completely blew some obvious, major importance calls in sharks favor.

Every fan dreams of their team getting officiating that is as "fair" to their team as you're suggesting it has been to the sharks these playoffs. Pretending that the sharks haven't been given an advantage by the officials these playoffs is absolute lunacy.

But is it a remarkable run or is it a run that should have been over but extended due to bad calls?

Not trolling, my team got shelled in round one. This is an indictment of officiating...not the Sharks.

Yep, low importance. You are the one who has final judgement on that I guess so I'll leave it to that...

The refs are the only reason you made it out of round 1 and California sucks.

Honestly I would love to cheer for the Sharks right now, historically they have also been a safe go to in the West.

However the Sharks winning before Marleau retires is just not kosher in my books, so go Blues!

I don’t have a problem with any of it. The Sharks took advantage of some opportunities. I despise Vegas at a cellular level so I enjoyed every minute of that collapse

"Turning a 3-0 game 7 deficit into a 4-3 lead with four goals on a five-minute major, which has happened - never. "

You mean the 5 minute major that should have never been or should have been a 4 min minor at absolute worse?

Yes Vegas should have done better and are ultimately responsible for their loss but it doesn't help when the refs affect the outcome. Same goes with the EK's OT goal, anyone with half a brain knows that should not have counted. No one knows had the goal been disallowed who would have won but it doesn't help
