Would the Bolts be interested in Byfuglien?

To WPG: Mikael Sergachev, Tyler Johnson

To TB: Dustin Byfuglien

I love watching Buff play but a 34 yr old dman for a 28 yr old 2C and 20 yr old top 4 D. Lightning would not make this trade.

Trouba is definitely getting moved. Sergachev is a mess. Powered play specialist. Lost in his own end.

I was making the deal with Brayden Point's contract in mind. I think this deal would help with that and also let the east know that Tampa was all-in.

How would a trade for a $7.6m cap hit defensemen help our cap situation by letting go two players with a combined hit of $6.2m?

I really don't get why everyone is so down on Sergachev. The kid is 20 years old, most dmen are trying to sniff the NHL at 20 years old and this kid has 179 games and 79 points. Does anyone remember Hedman at 20? Chill out on the kid. It would be a stupid move to trade Sergachev.

Personally I though Serg was one of the bright spots on D during the playoffs. Coburn was fine when he played...Hedman, and Strals were injured. When Girardi wasn't injured we wish he was, McDonagh was bad, Cernak was overly aggressive and Rutta.....Rutta was terrible.

Great point, I forgot to add Ryan Callahan in the deal.

Okey, makes more sense but still would not do it.

Buff have had some injuries last couple of years and have some rough miles behind him. Johnson for Buff would probably be fair value and letting go of Serg for dumping Callahan is way to much.

Buffs salary is to high for to much of a risk imo. Tampa cant afford to take that risk. Havent seem him play much the last couple of years but guessing his footspeed, which wasnt really good to begin with, will be a huge liability.

I like Big Buff. But the last thing the Bolts need is another high-paid, over the hill, pylon.
