It's weird, May reminds me of the old NDP under Broadbent. A social conscience type you'd want as opposition. However, the Liberal government is more left leaning than it's ever been. I guess i'm just a slightly left of centre type of guy. I would like to see a minority government with the Greens as opposition, just don't see it happening.

It’s pretty crazy. As the major parties mover further left or right, the fringe parties are moving closer to the center. I’m honestly curious: at this point, what really separates the policies of the liberals and the NDP?

The NDP scare me because of their willingness to overtax big business. At the end of the day, if you tax them too highly there won't be jobs for the people they're trying to protect.

They all scare me to be honest. I’m going to end up voting like an American: focusing on a few core issues and ignoring/justifying the rest.

That's typically what I do.

Did I miss the election where we now pour public money into transgender washrooms?

Talked to my mother who lives in NS. Said the lack of pride on Canada Day was astounding. She said she saw more Pride flags flying during Pride Day then Canadian flags during Canada Day.

I guess it's time to go tribal.

Unfortunate, I heard that a town in New Brunswick canceled their celebrations for lack of interest.

Went to watch Pacific FC yesterday, hats, shirts, jerseys, maple leafs painted on faces, really good showing of Canada pride for that small venue.

I worked, my wife went in Moncton with the kids. It was cold and wet, I could see how a smaller town could cancel outside activities. I think the high in Moncton was around 17.

We were camping at Bere Point on Malcolm Island. The folks in Sointula (pop. 576) were doing it right up for Canada Day. Bicycles, trucks & people dressed up in full red & white regalia. Boats and houses all flying the Canadian flag.

The way media likes to take a topic and sensationalize it to create an outrage to drive hits and comments..I have travelled to every corner of this country and there is an abundance of national pride.

Sometimes not one of your strong suits...

Yes overall there is regional disappointment with national direction/unity, but a strong national pride to be called Canadian.

I really don't think it is him, N4U had the worst sentence structure of anyone. I was always getting him to explain his incoherent posts, he was confusing as hell.

I really think this guy just follows the forum and decided to jump into the fray, N4U would have jumped all over me for criticizing Green.

He's easing in. He referenced Booner this morning or last night and Booner was the only guy who stood up for him. Ironically, it was his righting style that tipped me off right away(and Reubin who PM'd me this morning saying his immediate suspicion was NuckFU). I'm going to gently prod from time to time, starting with his percussion playing in his grade 7 class band. He lost his sh*t when I mocked that in the past.

Just sat down and picked up my iPad, after Marwood was convinced it was N4U I went back yesterday and read a few of his posts again, I will agree there is a likely possibility it is N4U.

Oh well, I’m getting done with being around much anyway, you guys are pretty good overall and usually are pretty civil even when I know there is so much desire to call whomever a dumbass, putting it politely.

You'll come back during hockey season, we'll probably all take a break before then.

I did nearly have a moment with rosterguy, instead i hit delete.
