The losing our business poke certainly provoked me. I thought it was below the belt and uncalled for. I can take all of the hate that I bring on but going after me in that fashion just shows that I got under his skin about the cap. We have been arguing about that since last summer at least. I, also enjoy being asked to join him for a run after I told him I can't walk further than a block.
Clearly, I got under his skin. Admitting to being an atheist didn't help. He brought up the age thing during the Black Lives Matter protests, saying no one is standing up to ageism.
Anyway, if some of the more rational posters are going to linger in here, then I will stay in here for awhile. At least we can disagree with a modicum of respect, you Benning leg-humper.

I don't mind the job he is doing.

I love how people determine whether a player is over paid, and then repeats it for the masses. Snowflakes the lot of you.

Love Beagle and what he brings for under paid veteran....

dang. Can you send me her contact info? I would much rather help out the local chefs than the big chains.

Sure I'll find the info and send a PM.

Pork belly is amazing. The triple bypass brunch at The Jam Cafe in Victoria was us sharing a deep fried buttermilk chicken benedict and a BBQ pork belly benedict washed down with a Bloody Mary.

I love Eggs Benedict! But I prefer to switch out the ham with bacon. Pork belly Benny sounds awesome. Oh man, my mouth is watering.

Saint Henry claimed, racial protests didn't lead to uptick in cases but beach going and social gatherings did. That's one smart virus. Also, doesn't believe, "science", that this virus is airborne, but trusts the Chinese (China)... I mean WHO.

"My takeaways from Dr. Henry's briefing today: the US border will remain closed for months; the anti-racism protests did not lead to #COVID19 outbreaks BUT parties and mass beach events did; she backs WHO over those scientists; she's worried about "intolerance" towards US plates."

Always been that way, people wouldn’t act this way in real face to face encounters, but an anonymous site brings out the worst...at times.

I believe in our provincial health authorities, and if they are confident that they can ease restrictions in a controlled and contained environment, then lets follow the protocols and do this responsibly.

The mob mentality pisses me off, what happened in London and around the world with easing of restrictions and mass protests is selfish and everyone involved should be smacked up the side of the head.

How do you feel about the Atlantic bubble? I'm cautiously optimistic. The population of the four provinces is probably around 3M people. I mean we still socially distance for the most part, most wear masks in public ( OK maybe barely most) but the case load is so little, I think they HAVE to do it.

Maybe things will open up soon with some of the other provinces, if they get things under control. I worked out of province for the 1st time today in months, aside from a trip I had where I had no contact with people in the other province and quickly turned around. I stayed at a hotel and they said they were averaging 8-10 guests a night.

They do expect it to get somewhat busier now that the bubble exists but I doubt they get to anywhere near 50% capacity for awhile. I like what you said about BC having different policies for different areas of travel, makes sense. Here the border is shut to PQ. I spoke with a taxi driver and he said that 2 days before "the bubble" they tried to get a guy from Halifax to Moncton and at the border they wouldn't let him through because he couldn't provide an address and contact where he was self isolating.

That's cool!

Anyways, I'm not sure where we are with a vaccine nor how effective it will be. I still pay attention to Fauci ( just because of the medical resources) as well as Bonnie, Russell etc. I thought I read where Fauci said a vaccine might be more of an immunity boost vs a complete vaccine. Helpful, but not a solution.

I know you may disagree, but I believe eradication is possible.

Solid post golfing, I hope the Atlantic bubble works, in theory it should if people diligently follow protocols and guidelines.

In this province we have a covid watch for any out of province or USA license plates. Citizens have been calling the local authorities when one is spotted, while others turn into vigilantes and confront the drivers personally (not something I recommend), even the premier has made several public addresses that you don't get to Alaska through Vancouver Island or Banff.

I do believe there can be eradication, but I certainly don't think it's possible with such a large population in denial, the mob gatherings in large cities for drinks in the square, or protests over racial injustice.

BTW, very well stated post on racism in the main blog, I was raised in those same small towns in Ontario and Quebec, experienced the exact same conditions. I could go on but I feel that a moderate voice with reason and discussion on the topic is on deaf ears.

I wasn't the ref that banned you for the last month, and I also wasn't the ref that just banned your new alt for the next 2.5 years, but I will be asking CaptEO to permanently ban that IP address and to look into the kaptaan user name for creating such a racist hate provoking user name.

You would do yourself a favour if you never post in any of the Canucks threads, this is a generous warning you would do well to heed the message.

I looked into the source of the name kaptaan and it has an Indo background as well. Probably not a coincidence that both kaptaan and Indus Aryan Brotherhood are roughly from the same source of Indo superiority. So many forms a racism and racial superiority out there.

this BS has nothing to do with India or Indo. he uses that common misconception to hide who he is and what he's about. it's nazi-ism but he's a pu$$y who won't come out and say it.

Adolf Hitler and the Aryan/Dravidian Myth
Adolf Hitler twisted the theories of archaeologist Gustaf Kossinna (1858–1931) to put forward the Aryans as a "master race" of Indo-Europeans, who were supposed to be Nordic in appearance and directly ancestral to the Germans. These Nordic invaders were defined as directly opposite to native South Asian peoples, called Dravidians, who were supposed to have been darker-skinned.

The problem is, most, if not all, of this story isn't true. "Aryans" as a cultural group, invasion from the arid steppes, Nordic appearance, the Indus Civilization being destroyed, and, certainly not least, the Germans being descended from them—it's all fiction.
