Next will be trading Pulju and Russell for Wallmark and Faulk.
- Reveen.

hmm

We DO love our Finns, but the last time Jesse and Aho played together, Aho had 11 points in 10 games. Jesse had 0 in 8.

Could make an all Finn line Pulju / Aho / Teravainen

We also have Janne Kuokkanen and Aleksi Saarela in the AHL right now.

Let me rephrase that back to you under a different light:

Would SJ be willing to let go of their 60+ point, two-way monster of a captain that's also a career Shark to accommodate the resigning of an excellent player that'll destroy their established cap structure (Burns and Couture at 8mil) and cut pretty heavily into their depth?

In EA's NHL games, sure. But the optics on such a move wouldn't hold consistent with the reputation that their organization has established to this point (see: Thornton).

True.

If Karlsson is on his way out then I wonder where he lands at.

Factoring in the Holland effect, and his notion of becoming a playoff team immediately rather than 2 years away, I dont see Byram/Tomasino being a viable option. In his operations, they are at least 2 years away.

I am not against the option of trading one of Klef/Nurse if it makes sense. But it has to be an immediate improvement to the top 6, and at a cost comparative. Find us a young top 6 winger with term of 2 years, I will consider Klef or Nurse. But I am not accepting prospects anymore. Its go time, if they dont acquire pieces ready to go it's a no go. No more rebuilding and retooling. It's time to utilize CMD Drai and Nuge. No more slaps in their faces. Should RNH be able to grow a moustache before we see the playoffs again next?

That move wouldn't be in a vacuum. There's still be a number of trades on the side to accomodate adding forward talent to the roster. Is it fair to suggest that you'd be more open to the deal if instead of #16, we added a proven or close-to-proven top-6 winger?

Oilers should sign Jason Spezza to fill the 3rd line C spot... here's a former star player who has molded his game to be more of a two way forward that can win draws and still be effective on the power play. If the price is right I think he could be a solid add to the team

The same heart that said Hemsky was a gem and untouchable. Loved him, but because of his "issue's" he should have been sent away earlier. Possibly have gotten more. Do we do the same with Kleffer now and hang on to him until his value is sunk because of injury history?
- wreckage

If the right deal comes along I would move Klef and hope that Nurse continues to get better....if the other injury question mark can stay healthy (Sekera) we have enough LHD to make it work....just play Jones and the left side is set.....now if Nurse struggles then it could get ugly but the same could be said if Klef gets injured again

It's my dream. My absolute dream manages to keep Nuge as the best 3C in the league. And finding some complimentary pieces year after year to keep him happy and around. Not likely, but hopefully possible. A rotation of decent but not great wingers for each of our C's is my dream. Kind of like what Pitts did without a fat sniper taking up another chunk of cap space.

It’s possible but Holland would have to do some amazing work in order to make that a reality.....I don’t know how happy Nuge would be to be a 3rd line Center but if we were winning I can’t see him being the type of guy to be too bothered by it
