Understood.

Well, here’s hoping Holland’s “autonomy” isn’t just a ruse to mollify the Oiler masses. Really all we the fans can do at this point.

Looking at the development of Benson, Bouchard, Bear, Jones and that Samorukov kid (who flew completely under my radar) makes me more optimistic.

(frank) maybe whenever the Oil get a top 20 pick they should trade it for some 2nd/3rd rounders just so their overzealous management doesn't get any dumb ideas.

I still think I'd have a bigger appetite for moving Yamamoto over JP at this point. Can't believe they burned his first ELC year too.

Completely agree with you on this.

And don’t forget about that Persson fella. He might find his way onto the roster sooner than later.

Samorukov is having a hell of a run right now....can’t wait to see him with the Condors next season

1.) The thing I enjoy most of Sean's blogs is: Facts

2.) What I enjoy least of Sean's blogs are: Usually he is spot on but imo he is way too negative on most posts. (I know the oil sucks)

3.) I feel Sean doesn't cover enough: Farm team and All other prospects

4.) Sean's blogs would be if they contained more visuals, graphs, etc: Y/N. Y

E.) Sometimes Sean is inconsistent with his posts Y/N Y

6.) Topics I want Sean to cover this summer include:
- Trading Lucic
- Trading the 1st round pick
- Trading Puljujarvi
- Assests
- Management moves (if there are any)
- UFA targets
- some positive things for once

7.) Overall Grade: 7.5/10

Justin Schultz signed with the Oilers because he was so impressed with Krueger. At the time I was convinced that he would sign with the Leafs because of his friendship with Jake Gardiner.
Looking back it’s amazing how everything turned out. Who knows if Krueger is any good. He wasn’t in the league long enough to find out.

I’ve never noticed this lazy eye you speak of. As for the dumbness that’s the only way anyone here would have a shot in the first place. So consider it a plus.

I think this is the case for nearly everybody in here.

My only worry is that he is Russian. We don't really have the best track record with them.

Any insight on Krueger you guys? Looked like he got a raw deal in Edmonton or did they just want Dallas Eakins? What should we like about Krueger?

Krueger got done raw. Twice. He should do well, but may be a better executive than a coach with his past 3 years being in management. He seemed to be the only guy in north America that could pull anything out of Yakupov.

Thanks. Considering he hasn't coached in 7 years a management role would be better for him. Maybe ultimately that's what happens.

As long as they avoid rushing him to the NHL it should be all good.

If that bothers him I'd be curious to see what he thinks about Megan Fox's toe thumbs

Starting to see more talk about trading up to grab Byram with a number of people citing similar stances to me regarding his potential. If it was an option, what would you be comfortable trading to get him? Would you move one of Nurse or Klefbom along with a pick? Would anyone consider one of them along with the #8 for say #4 and #16? How about for #2 and #20?

I would 100% be open to moving Klefbom because I dont see him being able to play a full season... I would not move Nurse at this point because he seems to just be scratching the surface of the player he could become.

Nurse-Larsson
Sekera-Russell
Jones/Gravel/Byram-Benning/Persson/Bouchard

This D core isn't looking like the best and some more moves would need to be made imo. Ideally Russell would be moved out and we would be able to get a top 4 right handed defender via trade or free agency.
