There needs to be a rider attached to any Malkin deal: they must take Jack Johnson as well. LOL |

Well you don’t have to be a Richard about it. I can amend my statement.
I just think VAN has more pieces to offer that they can afford to part with, but that doesn’t mean I think they would. - Rinosaur
What are these pieces that Vancouver would give up?
...I'll wait |

Not trying to be a Richard, but that’s not even in the realm of reality.
Koptiar, 1st + is where you start.
The truth is nobody wins a Malkin trade at this point. - Rinosaur
LOL not getting a first with Kopitar in the deal. That’s just dumb.
Trades don’t work like that. You wouldn’t trade the same player AND a 1st. If anything it’s a straight up swap.
PIT will lose any trade if they trade malkin away. You won’t get his full value. |

I don’t know. I’m saying they have a larger bounty of solid young pieces. |

Agreed. Just thinking Kopitar is also older and has a pretty bad contract. |

It's not, the Habs are just not in a position to be trading top end prospects for 33 year olds, no matter how good they may be |

This is the issue with any potential trading partner which is why I maintain nobody wins a Malkin trade. |

Ek, Tanner, and Garth all suffer from delusions. Just when I think one of their delusions is the worst another outdoes it.
The reality is that unless Malkin asks to be traded and is willing to unconditionally waive his NTC the Pens are not going to even bring up the issue of a possible Malkin trade with other teams. I have not heard from any reliable source that Malkin has asked to do this. There are a few clueless idiots in the Pittsburgh sports media who occasionally suggest a Malkin trade (Rob Rossi suggested it back in the early winter, 2016) but I have never heard anything of any substance about Malkin not being happy here and wanting out.
And yeah, everyone loses in a Malkin trade. I expect Malkin to end his pro hockey career playing in the KHL and not to play for any other NHL teams aside from the Pens. |

When you have to point out spelling issues, you know you’ve lost the argument. |

Just figure with Poehling, Kotkaniemi, Ylonen, Ikonen, etc. plus the 2 prospects you would add in the first after the proposed deal you could stomach making a splash for a Malkin. |

Habs would probably be looking to make that splash on the back end... and there's a good chance Suzuki plays the RW in Montreal |

Kopitar is turning 32. Malkin turning 33. They are almost 1 year apart.
