As a Penguins fan, I was (for the first time) rooting for the Blue Jackets. I hate them, to be totally honest. I hate the way they play. I hate Brandon Dubinsky. I especially hated Scott Hartnell when he was there. But when I saw all they traded away this spring for a run at the Cup, I suddenly feared for their long-term viability... not so much financially, but more so as a formidable Penguins' rival... and after my Pens were unceremoniously broomed away, I found myself rooting for them to well, make a serious Cup run. Smearing the Bruins and that rat fink all over the ice would've been nice, too. Oh well, maybe next time.

The Jackets have been around long enough now that it's high time THEIR OWN FANS should rule their own arena, NOT like Pens fans do when we play them.

I don't want to root for the Jackets any more. I hope they defy the seemingly insurmountable odds of early playoff elimination and rental player fallout and come back in a BIG way next season. GO JACKETS, and fill your stinkin' arena with your OWN fans. I want to hate you again, and SOON!!

Exactly. If they don't start filling the arena with a die-hard fanbase, the owner might have to consider moving them to Kansas City.

Winning helps get the fans into the barn.

It was a great to see CBJ go all in and take a shot at the Stanley Cup. Wish it had gone better for them and hope the fallout isn’t too bad.

Being as Pens fan as well, to me it is an "ordering of dislike". I go by the order in which I dislike the other teams in the Eastern Conference:
1. Flyers (most hated)
2. Capitals
3. Bruins
4. Rangers
--- the line of hate/dislike ---
5. Red Wings
6. Islanders
7. Blue Jackets
8. Canadiens
9. Leafs
10. Senators
11. Devils
12. Hurricanes
13. Lightning
14. Sabres
15. Panthers (least disliked)

So I hate the Bruins more than the BJ's, therefore I cheered for the BJ's in this past series (in spite of Tortarella, Dubinsky, Jenner, etc. - yes, it was painful). Likewise I dislike the Islanders more than the Hurricanes, therefore I cheered for the Hurricanes in that series. I will definitely be cheering for the Hurricanes in the conf. finals and probably the whole way, if they make it. I get nauseous when any of the top four teams on that list make it to the conf. finals .

Kekaleinen was applauded for what he did at the deadline.

Going into this off season, I can see him getting rid of Murray (Kukan can do what he does) and Korpisalo (Merzlinkis is apparently better) for some draft picks, if Duschene resigns, and it looks promising, then they sort of have Panarin's replacement and a one two punch down the center of Duschene and Dubois.

I'm being cautiously optimistic, Zito and Kekaleine are two good hockey minds and this recklessness was calculated and self inflicted, not by the fault of overacting or simply incompetence of managing.
