If Eberle would have an effect on Hall signing that's the guy you target because Eberle + Hall is a lot better then Nyquist and holding your Richard in your hand.

Of course, who knows if Eberle would make any real difference to Taylor....

If Ebs and Hall have chemistry, I guess I can get on board. Throw bratt and palms down to 2nd with Jack.

But overpaying Ebs to sway Hall is, eh. Not smart. If Hall doesnt want to stay then trade him. But I have a big feeling he and Shero already have a deal in place.

Yeah, if the Devils did sign Eberle because of the Hall connection (even though I don't love that reasoning) they better be 100% sure he's staying. Last thing I want is Hall gone and the Devils on the hook for an awful contract.

yeah, it's just proven that short players can't succeed in the NHL.

For Eberle, 5 years 6mill/year if you have to do it would be my best offer. If Shero does target him I wouldn't want him longer that that or for more money.

What if that is under the condition that Nico signs 8 yrs... You don't want to have to sign Nico again in a couple yrs with Ebs deal which might cause issues ?
EDIT: just realized zajac and greene will be off the books, so nvmd.

Hughes struggling a bit early on, but pretty much everyone is. It's the first game

Hughes has actually been pretty good, considering its his first game against men, definitely noticeable when he has the puck. His speed has been on display, he effortlessly looks like the fastest skater on the ice, and has had a couple scoring chances. Good dzone coverage and positioning, and has won some puck battles/caused turnovers and disrupted some German plays in the neutral zone and dzone. Had a couple shifts hounding the German D on the fore-check and causing some issues for them as well. Only a couple periods, but he's showing that he belongs so far

Edit: Hughes just had a pretty nice assist on the JVR goal, he controlled the puck almost the entirety of that shift and they could've scored 2-3 times off of his passes.
