Zegras wins puck battles with his brain & body positioning ... then makes mind blowing passes out of them. His spacing & the spacing he creates for his linemates is absolutely insane. If GMs pass on his skillset because he doesn’t PK, I guess it shows why they’re picking top 5.
- DrChristianTroy

They would pass on his skill set because they view another skill set as better. No different then someone passing on Caufield because of his size.

Interesting topic but no way of proving what a guy is thinking.

Amen. Kadri’s the only player on that team who has heart. No brains, but plenty of heart.

Doesn't matter what he's thinking imo he's a loose cannon and a liability

Ya, I'm going to go ahead and disagree with you here. Does anyone really believe that PK is a superstar anymore?

Kid is 30 in a couple weeks, scored just under .5 PPg this season with a BLOATED contract.....given that Nashville is hovering around the cap next season, I think PK can be had at a reasonable price.

Lets say Vancouver sends over Kole Lind, Virtanen and a salary dump contract of their own - Sutter or Eriksson...

I'm not too sure that this kind of offer wouldnt get it down. Then again, I'm not a GM or privy to PK's value around the league.

For Nashville, you are clearing big time $$$$ off the cap to go after, say, Myers, get 2 solid prospects, 1 with big time speed and a guy who could definitely help a team like this in the playoffs.

Now, Sutter and Eriksson arent game breakers by any stretch but offer Nashville solid depth and experience. Just my 2 cents. I just really doubt that to acquire PK would break the bank anymore....

Nashville lineup:

Forsberg/Johansen/Granlund
Arvidsson/Turris/Smith
Jarnkrok/Bonino/Virtanen
Watson/Sutter/Sissons

Josi/Myers
Ekholm/Ellis
Hamhuis/Fabbro

Better or worse than their current team? I'd argue better, simply by addition by subtraction - ya know?

I would have liked to see Karlsson come over so Van at least has one center developing in Utica.

Jamieson Rees has to be rocketing up the board. Figured he’d be an easy get at 40, but not anymore

First of all, I would puke if the Canucks traded for Subban, but he finished 3rd in zNorris voting last year. At 30 I think he still has cache, and both Nashville would expect a large return, and teams would be willing to give up a lot to add him.

It's risk vs reward.

Marchand is a loose canon and liability and an elite player. No Kadri isn't an elite player but a damn good one who might be available as TOR will be looking to make some moves and he's easy to blame.

There is a fine line between a liability and a warrior when it comes to physicality in the playoffs and IMO it has more to do with how the refs/league call it day to day than the actual actions.

I'm seeing if they want to offload Granlund and Ekholm/Ellis if it was me but the return would have to be pretty sweet.

Nashville is in pretty good shape as far as cap goes but I bet they want to make room for Fabbro.

Where'd he finish up this year?

I would also puke.....I just don't think with that contract, he can command the value that he once had.....

Canucks need D in general, but I agree, RHD is preferred.
