With Nylander likely available this offseason, would you guys trade for him? He may be a perimeter guy, but Bo and Pearson are not, his playmaking abilities could do very nicely with them.

Ya, taking on one bad contract would be fine, though not sure who has to dump one that doesn’t involve a NMC.

The sixth for contract + third sounds feasible.

Andrew McDonald from Philly, Plus they have some good prospects/ extra picks.

Trevor Daley has a 15 team No trade list.

In this scenario, are the TML Lucy, and the fans are Charlie Brown?

If the Leafs ate some of his salary it’d be worth a shot. Not a fan personally as he’s a no-show in the playoffs, too rough for him. He’d help get there though.

I was beginning to wonder if anyone was watching the game.

I’m at the end of the 2nd. Zegras is so (frank)ing good.

He had 3 pts and was a +1. That isn't exactly terrible, even for 7 games. I don't think I would require any retention out of them, he is still a 60-70pt guy in regular season(still room to grow) and a .5 pt guy in the playoffs. Like I said, his style would look good with Bo.

He should be the 3rd overall pick. No clue how some people have him sliding to 10 & beyond.

I could 100% see benning doing this deal. He might even throw in OJ, as 4 pieces seems to be the going rate for a top d.

Comes down to what people put ahead of another skill. Zegras has crazy skills but he's doesn't have the physical side, isn't going to forecheck hard. Doesn't play center regularly. I'm not sure he kills penalties either.

When it comes time to drafting teams will take their best player available in that tier of players that they need. Example Colorado and Chicago have both drafted RHD in past couple drafts. They also both have young centers. It's a toss up whether they want another forward or Byram.

Det probably go winger since Larkin, Rasmussen, Veleno. Or Byram if he is still there.

I can't see him sliding past 8 but I see players like Robert Thomas drop to 20th who I think should be a 10-15 pick and no further in just about any draft.

I would, but depends on what we give up for him. His value is never going to be lower: bad season because of the late start, never going in a groove, Toronto emotional after the loss.

Would try to structure around future picks, and Tanev/Hutton while taking back a cap dump for them.

Or even try to go bigger with Nylander, Kap, cap dump for pick/JV/Tanev/etc... though I think if they move Nylander their cap problems lessen a fair amount.

Perhaps the best thing about these playoffs is it could make the trade deadline more interesting down the road. These top seeds who did very little thinking their teams were good enough all lost.

Winnipeg two years in a row trading to get a 2nd line center. Honestly, Trouba wants out of Wpg. Trade him for Kadri +

Kadris been part of the reason the Leafs have gotten knocked out both of the last 2 years. If I were building a playoff team I wouldn't want someone who's proven himself to be emotionally unstable

Am I wrong? What do teams typically look for when trading a superstar? 4 pieces is about average. Blah, blah and a first. It was rumoured to have been #5, Bo something to MTL. This isn't trolling, it's what Benning has demonstrated as his MO from the past.
