Byron was also on waivers. irrelevent imo. just like at what rank a guy was drafted. can he play or not? does he bring something we need or not?
I don't think he'll get a big contract elsewhere, but he'd surely get more than 2x900k.
Habs don't have a righthanded center. pay the guy, anywhere between 1M and 2M imo on a 2-3 year deal
