True. Not all teams get an easy ride through a weaker bracket. Islanders got that smooth road just like Ottawa did a few years back and look where they are now

I think he still has a place, just not as a regular in the top 9. He is a needed veteran presence on this team but he's played himself out of my top 9 this post season.

Nobody is taking that contract either, maybe a team getting to the cap floor but I can't see the Leafs doing that to a guy with his standing and tenure.

Quite the meltdown there was in here last night. I know it was heartbreak & knee jerk reactions & a big disappointment.

Does anyone see any potential trades the Leafs & Canucks could make for mutual help? We have cap space to help out.

And I'd absolutely love to see Marchment get some games with the Leafs next season. As long as he can actually stay healthy.

I think there's a measure of respect there, they'll only trade him to a team he agrees to go to. I'm sure it was a huge deal for him and his family to sign here.

I also think teams can get a bad reputation by treating people poorly and this can affect future trades, signings, etc.
