All is good. Leafs lost.

That was very nice. I'm pleased that the Preds, Pens, Leafs, and Bolts are out (in that order).

I am bummed the Flames are out. Thought that team had the make up to do some playoff damage.

I'd have been fine with Calgary, too. No real beef with them or the Avs.

The Johnny Hockey fiasco come playoff time, got my attention. There are regular season wunderkids, and men who love Playoffs. Regular season guys who rack up points who keep stadiums filled. I'm not saying one bad word about our beloved Dinky, or comparing the two. What I am saying is that I'd listen to anyone with a reasonable offer that would benefit both clubs. To not listen would be silly. There are very few Denis Savards and Patrick Kane's in this world.

Agreed. These playoffs also illustrate why we need to hang on to Saad and somehow find a way to light a fire under Perlini’s ass. Big, strong, and fast are all important attributes when it comes time to battle for Lord Stanley’s Cup.

Was very glad to see the Leafs and their arrogant Leaf Nation out of the playoffs . Babcock playing the same game as Q did fighting with his GM ,never ends well for the coach .
Look out for Colorado them and Washington in the final . Hope I am wrong about Washington .. Go Canes GO .. TT

- oldduffman

Ryan Wilson (Pens blogger) ripped Babcock

"Babcock has now coached 14 years in the NHL and in nine of those seasons he has failed to make it past the first round. This year is the sixth consecutive year he has failed to win a playoff round. He has one playoff round victory since 2012 and none since 2014. He has a 3-7 record in Game 7's. He is not coaching royalty."

Always some link or comparison to Q. There isn't one, Babcock never made the adjustment or changes to get his team over the hump this year or last. His players don't care much for his " I'm the smartest guy in the room approach".
- RickJ

You don't see link between a high profile coach feuding with his GM as happen in both places / TO will not make the same mistake the HAWKS made, and wait to long to fire Babs .Their AHL coach will be coaching TO next year .

Hmmm, let’s see...

1. A pervasive unwillingness to realistically assess situations
2. An irrational exuberance over their team’s capabilities
3. Huge mood swings between euphoria and despair

Yep, that checks out.

Not surprising. Bowman did state that Colliton would have a chance to form his coaching staff during the off season. Brookbank is one of Colliton's guys while he inherited Granato. Not to say they didn't get along but it would help Colliton to be more effective out of the gate next season if he is surrounded by assistant coaches who he has a natural rapport with as far as philosophies and styles.

Granato hopefully has a great opportunity to coach elsewhere. He was sort of in an awkward situation under both Q and Colliton. Neither of them were in the decision making process to appoint Granato to the coaching staff.

I’m not arguing against Kadri being a liability to his team - because he clearly is at this point. But if there ever were a player who could use a change of scenery to reset himself into being a more productive player - it’s him.

I guess I’m old enough to think that 28 is still young when it comes to acting like an adult. His age/youth doesn’t exonerate him from his past - but it does leave room for him to grow out of it.

- Chief4Feathers

Having Seabrook, Toews & Keith to keep him in line might help too.

I think it’s more about letting Colliton put his own staff together. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Where's Paul? Hope he's enjoying work today. Maybe he went on the Leaves page and was banned.

I was really hoping he would have to burn a sick or vacation day after a Loaf victory. Oh well...maybe next year.

It would be nice to get someone like Jacques Martin or Phil Housley on the bench with Colliton

He didn't handle it correctly but I get the anger behind it. He ran his course here, and time to move on....

What will be interesting to see if Q going to FLA allows them to be a legit contender for Panarin this summer.

- SteveRain

I think cash is the biggest factor on where Panarin signs.
