Sup boys? That B's series win was so satisfying!!! I'm over JT, but have grown to have a huge hatred for the Leafs fanbase. That thread is a complete cluster(frank) and I am loving it. The excuses rang from refs, Anderson (their supposed Vezina snub), Babcock, Dubas, Nylander, Chara's cheapshot, and on and on. The only thing that could be more satisfying to me this season is if the Isles won the cup. Frankly I'm thrilled where we are and happy to have at least 4 more games. Can't wait until Friday.

Team could only play defense for stretches. That’s the legitimate reason why they lost this series imo. Bruins didn’t even play a physical game in any way besides for half of game two.

Honestly Bruins aren’t as tough or as big a team they were years ago. They just play right. Great defensively and keep the opposition to the outside. They do take the body when it’s there and have that mentality.
Very similar to how The Islanders played this year. A recipe for success I guess.

I think Columbus a bigger challenge for the b's they are fast and can score but are much more physical than the leafs. Bob is actually playing in the post season for once and is much better than anderson and so is their d

Bob played lights out in the 1st round and the Jackets are putting it together at the right time. Torts is also gonna whip every once out of them and keep them going.
I think they beat The Bruins.

Mayor of Toronto will be meeting the Leafs at the airport upon their return to personally hand each player one of these

Pretty sure the mayor of Toronto's in the Leafs' thread banning everyone who hurts their feelings.

The leafs were simply not constructed well. Wonder boy Dubas had a mediocre goalie, and too much youth. Tavares will get you 40 goals in the reg season, but one goal in 7 games is not what they're paying for. You're only as good as your weakest player (see Gardiners drop pass to nobody behind his net).

Sidenote : do the Bruins have any other Dmen besides Chara?? Man that guy was ALWAYS on the ice. 42 years old and still holdin it down....

I dunno…...im happy to see Big Joe advance, as this could be his year finally. But, I never wanna see the refs decide a game. Granted the Sharks had to bury all those goals, im not sure that was a 5 min major. Then again I didn't think Kadri shoulda be suspended for a game 7. Coupla games and maybe a heavier fine, but teams should be able to field their best roster for a game 7. Not saying it woulda made the difference, but Kadri plays a heavy game, as opposed to Nylander who literally has no pulse...…

For all us Isles fans that wanted Nylander as a piece for Tavares, talk about a great miss. He was absolutely Brutal...….wonder boy Dubas shoulda traded him for a Dman before the season.

If Pavelski pops right back up, that's not even a penalty given what they've been letting go in the playoffs, let alone a major. And the major didn't even go to the guy who hurt him...it was the second shove that sent him down awkwardly, so for Eakin to get a major for intending to hurt him, you'd have to make the case that he played the angles perfectly and meant to bounce Pavelski off of someone else and then down to the ice on his head.

All that said, the five minute power play was one of the craziest comebacks I've seen in hockey (well, I almost saw it...I was drifting in and out of sleep and waking up only for the goals when the crowd would erupt by that time).

Actually Lou acquired Anderson when he was in TOR. The series was close because Matthews had some breakout games but Babcock is not coaching the 2008 SC Champ Red Wings. BOS just rose to the level they had to as a more experienced vet team. Maybe JT will be one of those great regular season players but in the playoffs, when they really turn up the skating, he's average out there. BOS is a well coached and better skating club when they had to be.

I think Boston was a bit lucky last night, really. Rask was pretty shaky for a lot of that series but played out of his mind last night, while Andersen let in a couple he'd probably want back. Credit to Boston...they did what they needed to do to win, but they got away with some absolutely terrible giveaways through the first two periods. Toronto made fewer mistakes but paid for the ones they made.

Point being, I don't think Babcock was out-coached or even that Boston played particularly well. If Games 1-6 Rask showed up last night, that game looks a lot different heading into the third.

Tough call it wasnt intentional but he was defenseless and was bleeding out of his helmet. As a ref it probably looked bad on the ice they dont get a replay. Now d1 changed that if the refs aren't sure they actually go off the ice and watch replay and determine major or minor but it takes time and people hate delays

JT is out... sweet! Isles twitter was a riot last night and this morning. Now we need Martin to do the hard sell at his wedding next month on Mitch to sign the offer sheet.

Anderson 2 soft goals was the difference in my opinion.

That Sharks/Vegas game was a debacle by Refs. the second goal by Vegas was CLEARLY a high stick, the 5 minute major was absurd, Some of the other calls were nuts. Giving a team 5 power plays in a game 7. ... crazy.
