Will Babcock's coaching hurt the Leafs like in game 6?

The Leaf fans at work today claim that if they do beat Boston tonight, it'll be smooth sailing to the finals .... so that's good at least

You must survive the first ten minutes cause I am sure Boston will come out flying. After that just skate and control the play.

I'm sure there's a Leaf fan out there that will argue whether this strategy will work or not

Why the frank did we pull the goalie without clear possession in the offensive zone?

Or, you know, we could come out flying.

Just kidding.

The Leafs can't play in the first 10 minutes.

Because Leafs.

Pretty iffy strategy. What if they score more, but have more called back. Then what?

You might be right, but Boston is a very even keeled team. Think of all the leadership in that room, they won't blow their load in the first 10 to screw the pooch in the last 50. The Athletic had a piece about Nash and his relation to this series and how whoever wins will go on to play a team he captained and almost returned to in a playing capacity, but actually did in an employment sense. He was amazed at how calm and collected the room was and that even though we were down a goal heading into the 3rd there was zero panic and 100% belief in the room. I always thought people overrated those leadership intangibles and the playoff experience, but I also guess I severely underrated those two things as well if a guy like Nash has the things he had to say about the Bruins locker room. Just my two cents

make it or break for Babcock tonight....win, and he has a job next season.
Lose? then Dubas/Shanahan will promote Sheldon Keefe this summer to head coach of the Maple Leafs.

I believe the stats on them are in the road team's favor. That's just from memory of someone posting that on here though, so could be wrong. I also don't pay attention to the refs before the game.

Usually don't need to as we pay them off.

Yeah, Tanner and every other advanced stat's wiener.

Goals provide way too small of a sample size to properly indicate whether one team is better than the other.

I am sure that one day the league will shift to awarding wins based on shots towards the goal or some other golden statistics that is revolutionary.
