The Leafs have not won a playoff series from the Bruins since 1959. I the history of the NHL there have been 172 game sevens. In those games the team that scored first won 74% of them. The winning percentage for the home team in game sevens is .581. I would stay away from Caufield. If I'm gonna spend assts to move up after I pick Kakko I would use them on Dylan Cozens.

Talking about hockey, thread off the rails lol. Objectively I think Boston wins tonight, but we need the Leafs to win for the higher draft pick.

I like Cozens, but Caufield is a special player. This tournament isn't exactly a fluke, he's been putting up numbers all year. I do think he will go too high for us to be able to trade up for him.

I want to know if Dwayne ever did his experiment. If heat really is the source of gravity, the world needs to know.

Maybe he can borrow the aluminum TV dinner trays that Mark's mother collects and heat them up.

you can’t deny this kids abilities, he’s a pure sniper. I don’t know from prospects whatsoever, but it’s not brain surgery to figure out he can score at will it seems like. Back in the day (90’s-ish) I’d say this kid will have trouble, but short little guys can make it nowadays and do very well. But you’re right, seeing what he’s doing right now he won’t make it out of top 10, maybe even top 5.

If the rangers end up with Kakko, 2 other firsts, with the ones they have like Chytil Miller and Krav...they are really trending in the right direction. Just gotta hope they pan out.

The "state tax savings" talk began here prior to the 2014 trade deadline when Ryan Callahan was attempting to renegotiate a new extension here. With both parties still not in agreement on a new deal, Cally later suddenly demanded that he also be compensated for the difference in state tax savings, since knowing that the Lightning were interested in acquiring and extending him long term for his up front, multi defensive specialty skills and game roles. Some Rangers fans then turned on Cally for demanding that approximate additional $500K state tax savings difference per season to what the initial annual dollars and terms rumors were to remain a Ranger.

In acquiring Martin St. Louis that early March in exchange for Callahan, plus their 1st Round 2015 pick, the Rangers also dealt to Tampa a 2nd Round 2014 conditional pick. Since the Rangers reached the 2014 Conference Finals (at a minimum required per the trade), that 2nd Rounder became a 1st Rounder for Tampa. There was also a condition that since Cally did re-sign with Tampa, the Rangers received a 2nd Round 2015 pick from Tampa, while Tampa received a 2015 Rangers 7th Rounder.
Ironically in the end, the Rangers should have had that first condition state that their 2014 2nd Round pick sent to Tampa would become a 1st Rounder that Draft only if the Rangers were to win the Cup that season.

Cole Caufield has been one of the best players at this u18 tournament. He and Jack Hughes are one and two. Caufield just set a reord for american goal scorers at this tournamnt for most goals in a single one. Why would you stay away from him?

I recall two Springs ago when Rangers fans, including I, would not include Brady Skjei as part of any deal to acquire Trouba.
The talks broke apart when Winnipeg also wanted a Rangers 1st Rounder as part of a package deal. In addition, with the uncertainty of their goalie situation for that following 2017/18 season, the Jets had been interested in an alternative multi package also involving Raanta becoming a Jet, prior to the Rangers including him that mid June, & prior to the Draft per the Coyotes demands in the Stepan trade package to take on Stepan's full remaining contract.

Looking forward to enjoying the many beer gardens when the kid is old enough for Disney.
