Please do a deeper dive into his role on the ice. Dude’s linemates play short handed when he’s out there. He’d be a detriment to EP & Boeser 5v5. Their line needs a collaborative talent on LW.

Caufield is shooter on the most automatic PP of all time & a floating goalsuck 5v5. If you want 40g 12a upside, I guess you can go ahead & take him 10th overall.

- DrChristianTroy

He would probably get more than 12a from people banging in his rebounds. But if Zegras and Boldy are both gone by 10, getting a guy who could do around 40g regularly and say 25-30a as well, that is a successful 10oa. We don't need 12 forwards who can all PK. Even if he can become slightly below average at defending in the NHL, it is worth it. A lot of players cheat in junior leagues because they can. A good coach will get him to play a decent enough defensive game. Even Boeser is improving his D game and he was terrible at the start of the season.

His skating is in question as well.....

But his goal-scoring is automatic. That you can't teach.

- chompsey

He’s absolutely elite as a shooter. Knows where to shoot & hits his 🎯 at an insane rate. He has so much trouble when you take away his time & space which he only has at this level because of his competition & line mates.

Thats fair. Just saying, he's getting a lot of buzz right now given what hes doing.....

Just for argument sake I might go:

Boldy
Zegras

But from what I've read, majority of scouts have Zegras ahead of Boldy....

- chompsey

I’d take Boldy over Zegras as well

I am hoping we get one of these two at 10, but I wouldn't be surprised if both are gone before we get to pick.

Other ppl’s rankings have no affect on mine... They’re skyrocketing Caufield because of the gaudy G #’s. I have no doubt some GM is going to be pressured by his owner to take him too high. I’ll be very happy if he goes before 10 & lets Zegras or Boldy fall.

I wouldn't be so sure. 3-15 looks to be a complete cluster f*ck. Wouldn't surprise me if both were gone at 10 and a player like podzolkin (sp?) falls

That’s my fear. I think Boldy goes by 7 and Podkolzin falls to us. Fortunately can’t see us taking him

I could honestly see both going before 10, Podzolkin and Krebs falling. It will be a interesting draft for sure though. I think we are going to get a good player at 10 though.

It'll come, but today, big fan of DCT! Big fan!

Only beefing with Vantel today......I'm due for a good beef with Booner. We've been getting along far too well lately...

Same, but If both are gone and we take him, I won't cry over it. The kid has a future, just needs to develop some sort of defensive game.

Podzolkin will be like Malkin in a way, 1-2 years in the KHL and then comes over and puts up numbers.

What do you think happens if the player that JB wants isn't there at #10?

lol OJ may still pan out hit a rough patch with some injuries. Tkachuk was a complete no-show in PO's for Calgary.

But so was half their team...
