I agree. I know Letang can be infuriating with some of his reads and turnovers, and that Malkin can zone out for stretches. And I know that they had a putrid playoff. And I know that neither are the same player they were even 4-5 years ago. But trading them right now is such a kneejerk reaction, and their value is at an all-time low.

So yeah, kill off whatever low-hanging fruit you have, upgrade where you can, and go for one last hurrah with this group for the next 2-3 years.
