I don't really like either team, but to beat the Jets like that...ripping their heart out at the last minute...

Swap goalies and the Blues would be golfing right now. Helle has been good for 1-2 soft goals each game, and Binnington has kept them in every game. Great series to watch!

Any word on if Sunny is playing tonight? I don't think he played after going into the net on the Schenn goal. Looked like he was holding his ribs on the bench right after but I don't think he had any more shifts. At the beginning of the season I would have never said this, Blues need Sunny playing and not playing injured. If he is put Blais or McEachern in

He skated this morning so the presumption is that he is playing. You are correct though in that he didn't take another shift in game 5 after the Schenn goal.

On one of the blues locker room celebration clips it showed him with a bag of ice on his ribs, so hopefully just bruised.

Sorry to disappoint, Preds will be eliminated in six, if pred nation is lucky, their embarrassing performance in the post season is more than most can take....
To be honest with you Im not even watching game six, I'm so pissed off about the lack of heart Nashville has shown... Just venting.. Good job downing the Jets. Dallas is a one line team knock that line out they are nothing...

Where do the Preds go from here, if they’re eliminated?

Which trades are you referencing?

Are you saying that Fiala and Hartman are better options than Granlund and Simmonds?

Honest question as I haven’t watched much of Fiala, excepting his games against the Blues... I watched Hartman come up in Chicago. He’s one of those teasers. He finds offense only sporadically right now. He may continue to grow offensively, but he could also be Kyle Clifford...

So, who do you want in the next round?

Blues were 1-3 against Dallas with all of their games after the coaching change (two games in January, one in February, and one in March). The average goal differential was -3.

Blues went 4-1 against Nashville this year with their only loss coming against them in November. The average goal difference was just over +3.

Who woulda thunk we'd be talking about a round 2 opponent this season?

I don't think regular season factors in here in either case. Would love Nashville for the pure emotion and rivalry of a series like this, with Dallas, the Blues have the home ice "advantage" - which has been a curse so far this season for most.

The only team I would really like to avoid in the Western Conference would be San Jose. I'm pulling for Vegas (or Colorado) win over there.

the sting is a little less raw today than Saturday and certainly less raw than Thursday. For a lot of us Jets fans the anger is directed more at the team than at the Blues. We will be looking for some answers from players, coaches and management about the play of the team since December.

Congrats to the Blues on the series win and I will be rooting for you to come out of the west. Thanks to all fans who commented on the jets hockey buzz (peter tessier), your comments were thoughtful and respectful. Class acts.

I guess it doesnt matter now but i think a majority of our wins came against Saros when we played Nashville

If Vegas wins game 7 the four bottom playoff qualifiers in the west will have advanced to the second round. First time ever?

If the Canes win tomorrow, all of the division winners will be 1st round losers. Definitely a 1st.

There is a chance that only the #Isles could be the only higher seed to win their 1st round series.

All,

Sorry but I worked a 16 hour day yesterday and likely will have at least a 14 hour today. Hope to try and finish up the Jets ending series blog at a minimum later tonight but my regular job will dictate that.

sorry

Don’t apologize. If a bunch of grown folks get their panties in a bunch over not getting free content about sports, well...

Good luck with the stuff you’re getting paid to do!

Most people likely didn't notice that but with under 7 minutes to go (i think) in the 2nd, Ryan Reaves had a good chance on goal. NBCSN showed the replays and was keying on Reaves as the in house SJ DJ played Brass Monkey - .

Was it shade like Jeremy playing Chelsea Dagger or was it really bad luck and bad timing? The in house DJs are masters at subtle shade so I wouldn't rule it out but boy oh boy I hope that was a really bad accident.
