Hopefully only Round 2 if my Leafs make it there. If they don't, I'd like to see CBJ go far and possibly win the cup.

With the way CBJ played down the stretch of the season and absolutely man handling TB.... I could see them winning the cup! Sometimes teams just have that mojo and things click in the playoffs. Here is why they will win it:

1. Bob continues to play at an elite level
2. Special teams keep clicking (# PK in the league regular season), also dont take a lot of penalities
3. Offense keeps clicking! This team is loaded with talent

Can anyone list reasons why they cant win the cup? Lack of experience deep in the playoffs? Maybe.

Nobody needs a reason for why they can’t win the cup. It’s hard as poop and there is always another very talented team doing their best to knock your Richard into the ice.

That said, the Bluejackets are among 8 teams with a real chance. Typically Cinderella teams die in the finals but (frank) it. Let’s keep this party train rolling.

Cooper is a bitter, bitter man. He has always been like that with the backhanded compliments. News flash Coach, NO one cares about your President's Trophy when you get swept in the 1st round. No moral victories in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Kinda reminds me of Babcock. When he loses, he never gives the other team credit for being/playing good. It's always something else . . . his team had an "off" game; they have a long road trip; just got off a long road trip; injured players; referees; players had a headache, hang nail.

Why can't they say . . . yep, we got our ass kicked by a team that played better . . . and I got out-coached by an ex-Lightning coach !!

As an longtime Avs fan, I am so glad to see Dutchy finally have some Playoff Success.
With the Jackets he doesn't have the pressure of being the top dog, with the Breadman,Bob & Jones as the Real Stars on this team and he fits right in with the rest of the really good players assembled by GM JK. He may have been one of the most underappreciated players to ever play for the Avs and am really happy for him.

I think that CLB will end up playing the Leafs and with the media circus that will follow, then everyone will know just what a solid team you have in the JACKETS.
Good Luck in the next Round and nothing would make me happier then seeing the 2 8th seed teams in the SC Final.

So now we have game 7 with Bos/Tor.

I wonder if there is preference the CBJ has between the two teams. They play two different style of games, but IMO Boston has a better goalie and defense than Toronto and are the heavier team. They also have more playoff expereince.

However, if Kadri comes back TO might be better than us up front, or at least down the middle, and Seth Jones might get really tired being on the ice against Austin Matthews for 20 minutes a night.

So I guess I would rather play the Leafs, but what do you folks think? Either way its probably going to be six or seven hard-fought games that ultimately the CBJ wins.

Now to really do some spitballing; if the CBJ wins the Atlantic who do you want to play in the conference finals? My first thought is the Islanders, but maybe with the Oshie injury Washington is a better choice. But then again, those guys won the Cup after being let off the hook by the CBJ, and the Islanders will play defense like nobody's business.

But if the Isles and CBJ play the matchup of the 4th lines would be epic.

Toronto is more like Tampa than Boston is, so I'd hope for Toronto.

For watching good hockey, I'd prefer Toronto. It would be two teams with speed & skill. My impression is that Boston is more of a goon & punk team; Marchand, DeBrusk; Chara. They have one really good line. They'd rather chase the hits, or the post-whistle cheap shots, and then pull the "who, me?" crap.
Toronto wants to have the puck - take it and run !!
