I believe you when you say he has an attitude. I value your input on what goes on behind the scenes. His on ice performance though is not a problem and on an actual functioning NHL roster where Eichel didn’t have to be the tide that rises all of the boats we would be a really, really good hockey club. Especially when Dahlin matures and becomes the team’s best player.

That’s the least surprising thing I’ve read on this forum today. Marner is the MVP of the team. Tavares’ two way play has helped stifle the Bruins top line until tonight. Matthews is an elite talent but apart from Rask’s softie that he let in 5v5 he’s been basically a Laine esque PP specialist. Matthews doesn’t even have to go up against Bergeron this year and still nothing for the most part.

He had a few good years. When he won the superbowl, the contract extension was deserved. It was probably really uncomfortable though for the team.
