Girard is out - likely a lateral move and they will probably ask him to play a pretty simple game on the third pairing

Glad to see Rasmus up with Gio, unbelievable to me that Brodie is even playing, but hopefully his 17 minutes are mistake free tonight.

Also watching for a new zone entry on the PP tonight - boys have to shake it up and take advantage of the spy playing up ice looking for the drop pass. Bull rush the 3 defenders and take advantage of some open ice.

(If I had Madden's Telestrator, there would be white lines all over the damn place)

The PP is probably the easiest place to get a young offensive guy into the lineup.

Since everyone now thinks that save percentage is king, he's statistically the best playoff goalie of all time.

The Flames should be up 2-0 right now, mostly because of Smith.

Tonight is a huge game, if Flames win they get that number one seed confidence and roll like they were predicted to roll IF the Avs win it builds so much confidence and Calgary maybe gets a little shaky and start to doubt a little bit

I'm not, especially with Girard out.

Makar is legit. Might stumble a bit at the start, but I'm thinking you'll see the kinda player he's gonna become before this series ends.

He'll play super protected shifts and minutes. and probably on PP#2. Barrie will guaranteed be on PP#1 as normal. Best way/least risky way to get a greenhorn in the lineup in such a stage as this one.

Smith has been killer for CGY. MVP so far for the Flames.

Hopefully being away from home gets the boys playing the way we’re used to seeing. We need some more hits, everyone should be finishing their checks.
Anybody else notice how tame Chucky was last game? I hope they haven’t told him to ease up, right now I’d bump Bennett up to his right wing, we’re not going to get the matchups we did at home. Would like to see what the 2 playing together can do, might be a huge energy line.
I’m sure Peters and co. have shuffled the lines more than a few times.
