I cant find a clip, but on the 1st goal ..he picked off the puck which started the play into the Broons zone.

all that stuff gets ignored to push forward the overpaid, lazy , doesnt care, bad defensively agenda

no player is perfect, but the hate on Nylander is over the top ..imo

Kap and Johnny were flying last night.. They looked great.
Last night had to be Nylander's best game, he played a full 200 ft game and even nailed DeBrusk.

- PatC80

Kap was flying, but I'll be damned if I can remember him actually doing anything other than moving fast. Too many times the Leafs are trying to get up and he just Jason Blake's one into the logo of the goalie.

Great game by Johnsson though - probably the player of the game.

I don't hate him at all. It's been a rough go and I knew missing the first 2 months of hockey would have a long and profound effect on his season.

Also, playing with Marleau and Brown is a slog. At least with Kadri there, they could just chip and chase and bang their way through the game like an energy line, but Nylander on the wing, it's a complete waste of a line.

I said after Saturday's game that losing Kadri might be a blessing for Nylander and the Leafs.

He had a rough game.

That kid is (frank)ing thick too: he could be a heat seeking missile out there, but with his bad decision-making in the OZ and not being amazing in the DZ either, he's very Jason Blake-esque right now, burying shots in the crest all game.

I was feeling sorry for Marleau having to play with them.

Johnsson is pretty damn good.

Oh and Marner blocking 2 shots to close out the game. He's becoming my favorite Leafs player very, very fast.

Can't wait to offersheet him.

He missed on a double cheek but followed up with the hip check/pinch. Not sure I'd call that "nailing him".
- gravyface

I call it "Nailing him" because Nylander actually attempted to hit someone

He's beyond done, man. Love the guy, and he could still provide the leadership on the 4th line playing safe minutes, but Babs sees things differently.

That's not gonna happen.. Tavares already spoke to Marner on how to avoid the Habs

You'll be proud of me, hon: I said the key to the Leafs was to play like the Habs used to in the 70s against the bruiser teams. Keep skating, keep hockeying, don't get into the antics, don't turn it into a slugfest.

Really? I was leaving the room, but I saw Johnsson go on the ice after Andersen. Just assumed. How the hell was Coyle the first star?

If there's one thing the Habs do well.

It's beating the Bruins.

Pretty sure NHL.com shows Johnsson as the 1st star.

Not sure they match with whoever picked it last night.

Krejci was the best Bruin imo. He was sneakily dangerous.

you're watching right? Marleau is not effective offensively at all. I'm not saying he's a defensive liability, but he's where scoring chances go to die.

Let's see if the Leafs can string together two wins in a row for the first time since March 4
