Glad you enjoyed yourself. The place is just spectacular and the best seat in the house is the stands behind the 12th tee. You can see the 11th green to your left and also get a glimpse of 13. I remember that year I was walking down the 15th hole and bent over and grabbed a clump of grass. I had to do it lol.

I want to try and go with my friends next year, this was their 5th year in a row, but their first Sunday.

He had the right club though, just shouldn't have attacked the pin.

If you go long on Sunday you have a bunker shot that could very well end up in the water coming the other way.

- Stripes77

He didn't account for the wind that switched around. If he over clubs he goes in that back bunker and he's dead back there, he won't get up and down.

I sat in the 16th tee grandstands. You can see the 15th green and the tee shot on 16.

It was amazing.

I was at Monday's practice round, it was incredible.

Only caught a glimpse of Tiger on the range but all of the tournament people I talked to said there was something about how he was practicing and hitting the ball, it was almost like they knew he was going to win it.

- Stripes77

the crazy thing, as the others folded down the stretch, tiger simply placed textbook shots on the green for 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17

almost the same spots Jack him them in 86

the exception was 13, you could tell he pushed that shot to the left by his expression

My thoughts exactly.

I posted that a little earlier today!

As long as he stays healthy and doesn't play too much this could be a complete resurgence of his career.

I am still wondering if yesterday was like Nicklaus in 86 where it's his last or if Tiger has more left in the tank.

- Stripes77

It was definitely his Nicklaus moment yesterday, but so much bigger imo. Nicklaus didn't have the injuries/surgeries Tiger had, his game was just a mess back in '86. That made that Masters win improbable somewhat and it didn't hurt that Ballesteros, Kite and Norman couldn't close it on the back. Somewhat similar to yesterday when Koepka/Cantlay/Molinari couldn't do the same.

We always came in that entrance over there at 16. You're right, that's an amazing view.

jack was never really in contention to win tournaments in the years up to 86

tiger has been hanging with the big boys for a solid year now, IMO that's a big difference

and there are soooooooo many better golfers now then in that era

I'm warming up to Cozens. Seems like he'd be an amazing compliment to Eichel. Stylistically compared to Kesler. That'd sure be nice to have, considering it's nonexistent today.

the 40th best golfer in that era was nothing like the 40th best golfer in this era

right now on tour 39-41 for money this season is
Oosthuizen, Poultier and Moore

in 86, it was Chip Beck, Roger Maltbie and Scott Simpson

I think Cozens will be a stud, he is exactly what the Sabres need.
For much the same reason, I want Boldy too.
We already have enough soft players and our midget in Skinner, assuming he signs.

As an example, one play of 10 seconds late in he season, I think against Cbus
Eichel was physically removed from the puck, Skinner came in to retrieve it and was knocked flat on his a$$, leaving Reinhart to go after it who was manhandled along the boards.
I know this doesn't always happen, but it was indicative of what we could expect in playoff series when the physicality goes through the roof.

need truculence combined with skill and smarts.
Yes, the perfect player.
