The Rangers were 2nd in league in fighting majors this season. By no means are we the Broadway Bullies, but team is definitely tougher than in the past. - TommyGTrain
Wow! Didn't seem like we fought a lot. Fighting is way down from the older days. |

Smith, DeAngelo and then Lemieux all had a decent amount. |

Congrats on getting to the 2nd round for the second time...since 1993. - tomburton99
Don't jinx it!
Nothing I want more, including the picks (except for Zucc winning the Cup) than Pitt being swept. |

Yeah game has changed a lot. Just need tough players willing to play hard and stick up for themselves and teammates. Don't get me wrong I loved the good ole days of 4-5 fights a night, bench clearing brawls, brawls during warmups Such a large pool of players to choose from now, its really dumb to try to get someone who's best attribute is fighting now. |

I knew Smith and ADA had a decent amount, then Lemieux came on board. Didn't seem like there were that many fights this year to be 2nd. |

I love a good brawl as much as the next guy. As much as I miss the Proberts, Twists, Langdons, Domis, etc, I love the new NHL with guys that can play with a snarl rather than make a living by dropping the gloves. Guys like Smith, Lemieux, and to an extent Vesey. Really like what Quinn has turned this team into, polar opposite from AV. |

Give me a team full of guys like TonyD/Lemeuix/Vesey etc. Guys that can play but have an edge. |

I’m not saying it’s terrible, but it’s something to think about. All 3 guys on the right side would be 5’10 180 lbs. - nyrangers9479
I agree with you that D should be on the bigger side to shut down opposing players. |

Idk, that site is pretty good. I just want Cody Mcleod scrubbed from my mind. |

Ya, can’t think of many shut down Dmen that are 5’10 180. I’m sure there’s a few but can’t think of many. |

Middle weight fights are usually so much better anyway. They aren't staged and can really throw em for a bit

We had that team in the 00's and we didn't get too far. Way too many ginders and not enough skill. I loved that lineup because they came to play every night and it was great hockey under Torts until it wasn't. Love a hybrid team, what I think is what Quinn and Gorts are trying to build.

Not too many heavyweights left nowadays. Love what Lemieux has brought to the team, Avery type of player. Or, just like his dad.

Yup. Hopefully guys like Kravtsov and Kakko can and please god let us sign Panarin.
If Kravtsov can put on some more muscle and his play translates to the NHL ooooh baby look out. 6'4 200lb skilled winger

We sign Panarin and draft either Hughes or Kakko, this team is likely playoff bound, especially with Kravtov. Damn, we could be contenders in a few years.
I loved that early 00's team because they left it all on the ice. I was crushed when they traded Cally, but how that tuned out, we really dodged a bullet. |

Yeah, the lunch pail team.
Wow BJ's up 3-0 now. Pretty sure Tampa and Pens are done. |
