Getting Point under contract is going to be tough.

Something I'd like to see the Isles do (that the Rangers could also do, but I would like significantly less) is take the final year of Callahan's deal off their hands and make them send Cirelli with him. Gives the Isles a dirt-cheap 3C next year and Callahan's terrible contract goes away after a year.

Yeah, this why I wanted the Rangers to take on a contract like his or Lucic's. Because you can get value in other assets while taking back a poopy deal.

If there's anyone that can do it they can, but it's gonna be real tough. I haven't watched any of the games since they've typically been on while the Isles are playing but Tampa is so stacked. If they can get their act together I have no doubt they can rattle off 4 in a row.

The Series felt like it ended when Seth Jones scored the 4th goal in game 1.

I wouldn't touch Lucic, too much term. But Callahan's deal, as terrible as it is, costs less than his cap hit ($4.7M salary vs. $5.8M hit) and is only there for a year. You'd basically be buying Cirelli for $4.7M plus his ELC salary. I think the kid is going to be somewhat of a stud, but worst case he's a high-energy checker with some skill.

He's got the right idea, just the wrong application with that one.

Gorton would be smart to let you doofus Ranger fans suck off Cally in his final NHL season if it meant landing a good young player like Cirelli

Dude you want Lucic. That is literally the worst idea ever on this board Unless McDavid is in Lucic's pocket.

C'mon let's be real. It'd be Kreider for Lucic and 4th. Duh.

It's really only an insult to Lucic, for those who can read between the lines a little, and not a joke at the expense of a tragedy

Art Staple doing an Isles Q&A on The Athletic, I figure none of you are in attendance so here's an interesting little tidbit:

I wish I saw Notre-Dame when I was there. Only had 2 days, not quite enough time.

Malkin would be our best player by a giant margin. As long as he stays healthy

Not at the cost it would take to trade him to a division rival. Seeya K'Andre
