Yeah and those "rolling coal" people are among the lowest forms of life on the planet...but I also can't stand the weekend morning cyclist crowd that demands you "share the road" by riding 15mph in front of you and not getting out of the way

Meh, you ever have to deal with these idiots who think they are Lance Armstrong. If it was legal I would make them all speed bumps

Do you like the millions they spent on LI for the shared roadway signs and bike lanes?

My favorite is all those I <3 NY tourism signs that they put up to the tune of like $4.5M, then were deemed illegal or something and taken down, and then put up again.

I'm sure a lot of tourists are cruising the Sagtikos Parkway on their way to vacation in sunny Brentwood.

Long Island is a disaster. We're seriously thinking about getting the (frank) out of here and moving to Denver

I do like it here but sometimes the congestion and general douche baggery becomes a little much.

I think once our family dies off we might relocate to Arizona.

Edit: Forgot to touch on the tourism signs. I love the blank ones or the ones that list a McDonalds and a gas station as attractions at that exit.

That's a nice way to put it

Everything is crumbling, taxes aren't going down ever, the general cost of living is absurd and I genuinely believe the "Queens look" is going to keep creeping eastward. I work in Westbury and go grab lunch in Hicksville every now and again. That place already is basically Queens Blvd.

You've got both counties already saying they're turning away in influx of tax revenue if NYS legalizes pot. It's just a dump that's going to keep getting dumpier unless you're a big-time earner and can afford to live in the nicer neighborhoods.

I could never do Arizona. I can't live anywhere that you can fry an egg on the street in February.

We do alright financially but I definitely long to live in Manorville or Moriches, perhaps the north shore and the taxes are just insane. I should not be paying 15k a year in taxes to live in one of those towns. Where the (frank) does it all go? You can barely drive anywhere without destroying a wheel so you know it doesn't go to the roads.

We stayed in Sedona recently and Flagstaff is much more temperate. There are some areas that are just too hot but we really liked it overall when we visited. It would be hard not being so close to the ocean but with how many bumholes live/visit here it's a nightmare to go anyway.

There's even more cyclists out there! I lived in the foothills near Golden 10 years ago, and they're referred to as "granolas" out there. Ya can't get away from them.

They are everywhere. I’ve been out on Saturday mornings where like 100 of them literally appear seemingly out of thin air. You always get stuck behind them on a curvy 2 lane road with opposing traffic coming. Never fails.

On a more serious note, I visited South Carolina last summer. Very nice where we stayed. Super cheap and mostly good food. We stayed on a lake they use to cool a nuclear reactor.
