If ------- and a big IF, management really thinks Fox is a top 4 quality defenseman, this is absolute silliness to waste time ---- get him and give up the 2nd round pick or a lesser player and a 3rd.
Carolina lacks leverage here, but that is why Fox is available. He loves the Rangers, so you know signing him wont be an issue. Get him signed, get him into off-season program NOW and we will have a better player come camp time in the fall.
As far as topics for future blogs, I leave that up to your creativity Jan. I just hope that you will do the mock draft again sometime prior to real draft. That was fun and got many here to participate. |

4th and Pionk. I don’t think we should go any higher than that. |

The mock draft is a given. Will start to get owners for teams sometime in May or so |

Maybe look into what Troz did to improve the Islander's defense and how it could be applied to the Rangers. That was an impressive improvement. |

Jan, I say no to the grading of the players
definitely blogs about what the RFA's could potentially get on next contracts
we are going to all be consumed by the draft for two months around here for sure

Maybe we should review some of the other prospects in our system. We all know about Kravs, but we have some other exciting guys coming up, especially some of our later round picks. |

Avery offering his analysis

I flagged this by accident. My bad. But I hate the Bruins. I can't wait to see how not tough they play after Chara retires. As for Kadri, he's an idiot. You can't cross check a guy in the face if you're already a repeat offender. But my God did Debrusk sell that. He went from Dead to ready to fight in 5 seconds. |

The blog had good action the other day when we were debating Vesey vs. Fast. Maybe some blogs like that. Pair guys with similar roles and have us debate who we’d rather have around next year. Can even give grades at that point.
I also like the idea of prospect reviews since we're planning for the future. |

Do a blog if you are building a team from scratch who you would pick using all current players. |

I think you'd get great interest if you profiled on separate days all top 31 prospects according to some scouting service or ranking...
So everyone knows before the draft who's who and that kind of thing |

I think you're spot on here. Don't let him get to be a free agent because anything can happen after that |

Lot of players. Would be interesting though. Maybe do it in groups of 5 |

But analysis blogs shouldn't have predictions! |

A blog on how resilient Henry’s hair has been through all of the rigors of a long NHL career is a must! |

Replying to Kaptaan on prospects:
That would be hard for one person to do, but if you got us to each take 1 or 2 prospects and source as much video, analysis from around the web that might make it doable. The Jan is editor, not researcher? Just a thought. |

Jan,
I don't know how difficult it is, but I'd like to know more about what the Rangers are doing on the technology front. As an example, for football, we put gps trackers on players and monitor them throughout the season to see if their work rates decrease or fluctuate. You can also potentially see an injury that would go undiagnosed. Do the rangers do anything like this? I know the Kings partnered with the Dodgers to use a lot of their tech, so it's out there. I don't know if anyone in msg has said or will tell what they use, but I'm curious. |
