That comment is stupid and you should feel bad for even thinking it. Unless it is sarcasm.

I know the Flyers didn't play great on defense and fatigue set in the 3rd period, but Elliot was brutal in net tonight.
- Thors-Hammer

How the (frank) do they not have an extra forward on a road trip in the second of a back to back ? Fatigue....for sure...short bench is incompetents of management....hopefully now we see Morin and Hart play a bunch down the stretch....I also wouldn’t mind seeing Talbot get a few starts...let’s see if he’s worth signing going forward.

all these useless points to miss the playoffs and get a poop draft position
- 2Real

The Lose for Hughes idea sounds good, but the Flyers have too many players fighting for their NHL lives, so flush that idea down the drain. While you're at it, flush this season down the drain, too.

I don't think Elliott should play another game. No reason not to play Hart/Talbot exclusively the rest of the way. Especially if that's their intended tandem for next year.

Every....single....year it’s like this under giroux

Giroux needs to accept responsibility but I can’t fault a yearly systemic failure entirely on him either.

Look the guy makes mistakes but the fact that the Flyers are in this position is because they fail to be aware of where players are on the ice. Every time the Leafs had the puck, guys were skating around lost. No one was near the guys at the points, they were wide open, often two flyers would head for the same guy. Every time the Leafs had the puck, someone was wide open and that cannot be pinned on one player.

My comment was more directed at their general play to start seasons, not necessarily this game.

What more do you want from the guy ffs. Stop with the Giroux BS. Yes he is the Captain but how can you place the blame on him. He has the most assists in the last ten years in the NHL, more than Crosby(arguably the best player in the league). Others need to step up and take some pressure off him. He is a great leader in my opinion.

actually over the last 10 seasons (including this year), backstrom has lead the nhl in assists with 518.
if we exclude this year and go back another year, the 10 year leader is Sedin with 539.

Games like this and like last night's are exactly what you get from mediocre teams although allowing 51 shots tonight is well below mediocre hockey. Looking forward to that number 14 overall pick though.

The team Richards around every year until January. He’s the captain. Great player but for (frank)s sake he and the leadership group are the only constant here

The last broadcast had Giroux having the most assists but if I am wrong OK he is second then is that a big issue and will it change the scenario

McDavid has been the Captain of the Oilers for the past two years and they will miss the playoffs for the second straight year. Is that his fault too?

Most assists on the Flyers I think, not the league. G has good point totals, no doubt, but he's not at the top.

Yup. G has been in elite company the past 8 years or so, he just isn't at the top.

I mean the PK was improving before Gordon. Announcers made sure to announce it every game that the recently improved PK was out. PK really doesnt look any different before it started improving under Hakstol. They were to passive but eventually got aggressive. That continued under Gordon
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

This makes me laugh! Hakstol was a terrible coach yet a handful of people in here blindly worship Hak
Hak was a fraud
Hexy did a lot of good but was his own worst enemy.
Gordon was the guy developing these kids down in LHV. Myers and sanheim in particular.. lindblom has clearly gotten better under gordon as well
Hak is gone. The fans are happy, the owners are happy, everyone is happy except the 4 or 5 of you in here who still just love them some hak 🤮

Who is fighting for their NHL lives on this roster and why do they deserve to be in the nhl? Varone, Knight, Bailey. We roles the dice on these players and they all might be worse than the combination of Bellemare and Vandevelde because they offer nothing to special teams. Raffl doesn’t deserve anything more than his current 2.5 million. Our bottom six has been bad for three or four season now. So you move on from it regardless.

How ironic. You post that a post that was actually accurate made you laugh and follow up with a post that is laughable. We can explore how what you post is not accurate if you care to.

I look forward to the day when the Flyers have top 9 depth that allows a 4th line of players like Raffl/Laughton/Hartman. even NAK or a Bailey who I wouldn't mind seeing more of the rest of the season. and that is not meant as disrespecting those players. I would love to see them be able to roll 4 lines. Players like Couturier and Giroux are so over taxed.
