It's weird that you bring up the Canes D but talk about Faulk being a legit top pairing guy when he is arguably their 5th best defenseman.

Micheal Ferland likely back in for Carolina, Calvin de Haan out with an eye injury.

Nino Niederreiter - Sebastian Aho - Justin Williams
Micheal Ferland - Jordan Staal - Teuvo Teravainen
Jordan Martinook - Lucas Wallmark - Andrei Svechnikov
Warren Foegele - Greg McKegg - Brock McGinn

Jaccob Slavin - Dougie Hamilton
Brett Pesce - Justin Faulk
Haydn Fleury - Trevor van Riemsdyk

McElhinney likely gets the start.

They're not a flashy group and they certainly don't have much star power, but Brind'amour has every guy on that team giving everything they've got.

CBJ will either give OTT a top 15 pick this year or a top 5 pick next year. CBJ GM might have overestimated how good CBJ is.....

cbj are also playing as if they are shell shocked , Panarin has left for FA early , Jones is not Jones and Bob is bearly holding it together.

It can't be easy to try and get motivated as a bottom 6 guy on a team like that knowing that a couple of your stars have mostly checked out already while in a battle for the playoffs.

I know Torts is doing what he can to relieve the pressure by backing off and just letting them play, but it sure looks like a rough situation.

I still do not believe the CBJ will get in the playoffs, but it does seem like the team is adjusting to the new players and are startling to play better, in spite of the shot differential last night. Carolina had a ton of shots but few were the so-called 'high dangers areas' and Bob had a great night.

They better have 11 more games like that from Bob and have Breadman wake up if they are going to sneak in.
