Ehlers, Rakell, Johnson, Gourde, Trocheck, Atkinson, Forsberg, Gallagher and (maybe) Palmieri are all forwards I'd like to see in Oiler silks. Atkinson in particular intrigues me, what with Columbus perhaps going into rebuild mode if they miss the playoffs.

5.5 million for 40ish point production
- Reveen.

That's about right these days.

If an 80-90 point guy is worth about $10 mill, then a 40-50 guy should be worth about $5-6 mill.

I think him and Khaira would be da bomb on a line together.... maybe we could trade for Kadri as well (Khaira / Kadri / Athanasiou)

You throw Poile Puljujarvi l, a sweetner and a top 3 pick in this years draft, well might be he thinks about it.

Maybe. Forsberg is a higher level of player that’s on a ridiculously nice deal. Could be done but it’s have to be a hell of a sweetener added on to a reclamation project and a first.

And if that sweeter were Bouchard?

And yeah, yeah great prospect blah, blah, blah. I wasn’t high on him at the draft and I’m not high on him now. No rational reason, just a feeling.

"40ish point guy" is underselling him a bit. Not to mention his defensive contributions lead him to dominating the goal and chance share every year to the tune or around 58% and 56% respectively (58% HDC share). He's an excellent even strength scorer whose on-ice shooting % (so team, not individual) is about 2.5 points below his average. It's a down year in which he's still on pace for ~24 goals and ~220 shots; he's precisely the type of player we should be targeting but this happens every year.

He's apparently taken his game to another level since returning to the OHL. Not just considered an offensive defenseman anymore but a dominant 2 way defenseman.

Having had the opportunity to see some Knights games this year I can say he has certainly become a better defender...not elite but he isn’t a liability either....I’m curious to see how he will do when he is with the Condors next season but I don’t see a cause for concern with regression.....Samorukov has been great this year too

I'm on record having said this, as well. Feel free to rub in my face if I'm proven wrong, but I was team Dobson or trade down and try to get Bokk and K'Andre Miller.

For me it's skating and defensive reads. The effort thing is maybe a concern, but it may just be the same as with Draisaitl; people say he looks lazy but he gets it done.

Providing Manson stays with the Condors next season he will at least get good coaching there....he has done a pretty good job with that group

I think it may be feasible. It really comes down to how Poole views Bouchard. His eye for defensive prospects and futures is insane in this league. He’s traded away Weber, Jones, and Gerard while letting Suter walk.

PJ would be needed to be seen as a can’t miss high floor high reward project as well. It’s the positioning of the first that would most intrigue Poile. Being able to draft Byram, Plodz, Cozens vs mid tier projected picks would make that final difference.

I personally wouldn’t do it if I’m Nashville. Forsberg is a 30-30 player who is barely in his prime and on a freakishly good contract. He also has great chemistry with the top line and plays all situations. Not too mention he fits perfectly for keeping being the right age for his teams window for the next 4-6 years.
