Buffalo sports are perennially drenched in underachieving and bad luck.

goes without saying. hell even AB of all ppl turned 'em down and he went for peanuts.

The Sabres had a solid first half and a great pickup in Montour, but they are (frank)ing sucking so badly right now.

4-2 Pens. Kessel on the board. Sheary on his ass.

They won 10 games in a row, but 7 of them were in OT or a SO.

Hahah I didnt know that. I believe the 3 on 3 OT and the shootout to both be crapshoots, with the latter being more so. At least the 3 on 3 is still team'ish and highly entertaining, the shootout on the other hand can go F itself. Never ever wanted it or liked it.

So tomorrow night....Canes and Jackets.....whatever happens, hopefully it happens in regulation...

Sullivan spoke after the morning skate.

“We brought Rusty on the trip because he’s getting close. We wanted to get him around the team, get him in the practice,” Sullivan said. “He’s feeling really good. Obviously, he’s in a non-contact jersey, but his status is day to day. He’s close.”

Sounds like ZAR has been switched to "longer term".

Started out as a Housley bashing. Then sounded like Botterill has as much to blame for their situation as Housley, if not more.

What do you mean AB of all people? He made it perfectly clear that he was going to block any trade to a team he didn’t want to go to and would rather just hold out than play where he didn’t want to be. Who the hell would want to go to Buffalo, especially if you’re a wide out since Allen is a bust.

That’d be Bell. AB wants more guaranteed money but definitely stated he wasn’t gonna play for anyone he didn’t want to. Destination mattered for him.

well that was my point. AB's career is going down the crappa, and he still went to a team equally inept. Even the $ wouldn't get him near buffalo. He finna pull a latrell sprewell one day

Botts woulda known that the team can't reacquire someone they have retained salary on within a year of moving him. SMH ruthy

OAK was only team willing to rework his deal from what I've seen.

How’s it going down the crapper? He’s still a top 3 receiver in the league. Contrary to Yinzer belief, just because he and Godhuman Ben Roethlisberger don’t get along anymore doesn’t mean he has a foot out of the league.

From what I know the Pats were also in play and AB wouldn’t have blocked the trade there either but the Steelers refused to play ball because they still think they’re contenders and didn’t want to make a “rival” better.

(frank)ing OBJ trade just makes me bitter over the AB... I thought a 2nd rounder would be good... so a 3rd and a 5th was fine.

Then OBJ pulls in a 1st and a former 1st round pick player, and another pick.

Carr is mediocre at best so he better hope they draft a good QB

He was spoiled playing with Ben for most of his career, now he might realize that he was in a pretty good spot in Pitt.

ok sure he's top 3 today. but he's 30 going on 31 by OTAs. the decline is inevitable
