If komorov was on the power play we might score some goals but this power play is horrendous.

Montreal could literally send nobody out there to defend it and the islanders will miss the net botch up the passes and kill it themselves

- kasperrko

They should put him in front of the net and let Pulock hammer clappers at him all night so they can LTIR him

You guys misunderstood. As bad as you may think YOUR PP is, the 31st ranked PP belongs to the Habs. It is less than....well...mediocre.

If Pulock can hit someone in the press box that's pretty impressive

So you're saying the Islanders can take liberties all game without having to worry about the Habs' power play?

The Habs poweplay may have a therapeutic effect for us all.

Their PK is 16th overall so, it should give the Isles crappy PP trouble, given that it's mediocre

I can’t believe we still can’t do crap on the pp. Really thought it would be at least trending in the right direction by now...

I am still waiting for Ben to back me up on komorov. He has been very quiet
- kasperrko

With Komarov:

He's made a difference on the PK. Plays the second most PK time of any NYI forward and the PK is up to 12th this year from 31st last season. Also adds grit to the lineup and Lamoriello likes players who can add toughness.

That being said, he's part of a forward group which also includes Matt Martin, Cal Clutterbuck, even Anders Lee who all provide grit. Watching Komarov play in Toronto, just from the eye test, he hurt the offensive production of the line he was playing on.

Komarov is an asset if you're not relying on him to produce, but $3M for another 3 years of a 32-year-old with limited offensive skill- even if he's been good on the PK- I'm not sure that will end up being such a great signing, just my opinion.

Yes, in the same way that bread would add value if I was starving to death and paid $1,500 for a loaf of it
