Honestly Pelech has been better than Leddy in the d zone this year for me. Trotz May think so too since he’s been on the third pairing the last few games.

So the trade market may be Lamoriello’s best bet. Those three scouts and two other league executives agreed that, at a minimum, the Islanders would command a top-six forward in return for Leddy, with his history and decent contract. One executive not from either team mused whether a new Oilers general manager might be ready to further break up Edmonton’s underachieving core and move Ryan Nugent-Hopkins in a Leddy deal.

Something else I noticed was that Boychuk's NMC changes to a modified NTC next year and beyond. While it's doubtful they'd trade him or anyone would want him at $6M...he won't have to be protected in the expansion draft this time around.

Yes and he’s a west coast boy as well so maybe he goes to Seattle with Ladd.

It will cost us but you would think it will be discussed. Couple Vets on an expansion team with Cups is not a bad thing.
