It was not lost. Every time they have the power play, someone on the broadcast, TV or Radio, or between periods was talking about it.
At first they talked about how the power play was generating chances but just not putting it in. More recently, they were admonishing the team for not shooting at all and not taking advantage of it. - climbdenali12
When I said "lost", I meant only on this blog's comments, due to the majority of the "hockey only related type talk" today being on the Kreider and Lemieux penalties. I watched the game and heard Sam and Joe discussing their power play woes to the tune I initially mentioned earlier. |

Yes they were 0-25 before scoing on 1 last night. Not good. Hence why it's ranked 17th. |

The need another Bill Chadwick around, but this time to tell many more players than just one to "shoot the puck".
"SHOOT THE PUCK BARRY ... SHOOT THE PUCK," was the infamous line used repeatedly for around half a decade through the mid 1980's by then Rangers tv color commentator (and earlier top NHL ref), Bill Chadwick, both during game broadcasts, and told directly off the ice, including at practices, to Rangers' d'man back then in Barry Beck. It was as if Beck feared shooting the puck in possessing one of the hardest slap shots of those days, which would be Shea Weber equivalent or better, if he had the benefit of today's modern flexible and lighter weight stick evolution than those wooden ones used back then. |

This is from Corey Pronman, but keep in mind it was over the summer and before he put up a nice statistical season. He was listed as the Rangers 22nd best prospect in Corey's rankings.
22. Morgan Barron, C, Cornell-ECAC: Barron’s a big center with good hands and a strong power game. He’s not dynamic and won’t blow you away with speed or playmaking but he has a decent skill set and is absolutely a bust |

6th round pick. Yes we should be, but before we get excited find out his advanced metrics. If they’re bad he’s already a bust and hasn’t even made it out of college. |

NYR closing in on signing 20-year-old UFA RW Jake Elmer of the @WHLHurricanes. Elmer has 38 goals and 78 points in 66 GP, playing on a line with 2019 high-end draft prospect Dylan Cozens. Elmer is that rare breed in hockey — a Dec. 31st (1998) birthdate. |

Why would they draft guys from a high scoring league?? Gets in the way of your 2nd round goaltenders. |

this is true
I was looking at their last draft picks from the WHL and every one of them is a bust (we'll see about Ronning) it's crazy, maybe they are afraid
Gropp
Zborovskiy
Morrison
Iverson
Nejezchleb
St. Croix
McColgan
McIlrath
McNaught
all busts
Dale Weise in 2008 was their last WHL pick that actually became something |

Rangers could realistically still finish with the 5th worst record in the league |
