3 straight shutouts.

This is on the coach and to a lesser extent, the goalies.

Either way, it's nice to see people have stopped saying this team looks better than last year.

Remember when I said KBC was a toxic environment from the top down? That venom is slowly leaking into the blocks around it. Don't even go near Pearl Street Brewery on a game night. The bars around the arena are uninhabitable, and have been for many, many years.

The drinking doesn't help. Buffalo is a drinking town and it's time to stop being so proud of being alcoholics.

Sheary is useless to us becuase he isn’t good enough to play top 6 minutes and doesn’t offer us anything in terms of bottom 6 value. Eichel will have to play against other teams top lines there is no way around it. The 3rd line C we bring in should be able to handle the defensive matchups along with the 4th line. I don’t know what else to say. To get your dream scenario done in one offseason is nearly impossible. What I have listed is more realistic whether or not it’s ideal or not.
- Pegullaville

You’re just setting it up to have 4 lines that should all be getting more O-zone starts than D-zone starts
That just won’t work

If you’re putting Eichel in defensive situations, you’re taking away from offense
That’s a bad idea with what little offense we have

Can’t play Mitts more defensively either,
Bc we need to develop his scoring

If u bring in a Nelson & Tanev for line3,
then u could give that line the heavy defensive load
But u gotta get Sheary off that line
(maybe try him at RW with Jack- they were good together early)

E Rod & Okposo could probably play some defensive minutes...
but would they be effective,
or would they just get scored on all day?

As much as u hate that Girgs & Larsson don’t score...
they do a pretty decent job of keeping the puck out of our end, even though they start in our def zone A LOT

I just don’t think we are anywhere near the point where u can start to form a lineup like you are
Like u said, it’s not gonna be fixed in one offseason
I think you’re jumping the gun by a season or 2

Skinner-Eichel-_____
____-Mitts-Reinhart
Sheary-_____-_____
_____-Erod-Okposo (immovable)

Hopefully Thompson comes back next year 15 pounds heavier with a d*** full of confidence to claim one of those RW spots but we need a lot of help. Top 5 pick will fill one of those _____ long term in 2 years but we need help pronto.

- Pegullaville

We need to AT LEAST put players in spots where they can succeed

Line 1
Skinner-Eichel-Sheary
*i think Sheary played some RW with Pitt, and he’s shown he can score when he plays with top players (Crosby, Jack)

Line 2
(Ferland)-(Nelson)-Reinhart
*this line will get some def zone starts. Nelson is a good enough 2way guy, and Sam proved he can be effective in that type of role when he was playing with ROR.
Someone like Ferland can score tough goals & provide some grit.

Kid’s line (i mean “grown a$$ men” 😂)
Mittelstadt, with some combo of:
E Rod, Nylander, Olofsson, Smith, Tage
*this line would obviously be sheltered as much as possible with good matchups & mostly O-zone duty
Let’s say we start with Smith & Tage,
which knocks E Rod down a line and sends
Nylander & Olofsson back to the AHL to start

Line 4
Girgs-Larsson-Okposo/E Rod
*i know this will p!ss u off, but with how (relatively) well they’ve done this year-
Girgs & Larsson are coming back
I think we are still a year from a 4th line that you’d be happier with- something like:
Smith-Asplund-E Rod/Okposo
Smith & Asplund just aren’t ready for a heavy NHL defensive load yet- don’t rush it

I liked it
I’m not very critical of movies though

Just take them for what they are
Especially the Superhero movies
They’re pandering to as big an audience as possible, not the hard core fans

I'm not sure if this was already posted, but I didn't seen anyone discussing it.

As the father of two, my heart goes out to Kane and his wife. My wife and I had a scare while she was pregnant with our son. Everything turned out fine, but it was an awful experience. I can only imagine how they must feel.

Like we can debate this until we are both blue in the face but we can agree on we need to upgrade the middle 6. It will be interesting to see how Botts handles it. I think Erod would do just fine as a 4th line C or 4th line LW in a defensive role. Eichel will have to start playing against other teams top lines as well. Brayden Point, Patrice Bergeron, and John Tavares all do it to allow them to go best on best. Kucherov plays with Point and racks up 110+ points playing against other teams best. That’s why they are in 1st place by 21 points.

Way to boys!
Apparently another inspiring performance last night. Apparently, because I could only stomach watching part of the 1st and 2nd periods. What a poop show this team has turned into.

Back in January, I projected their finish to be around 85 points based on their win rate without the 10 game anomaly. Further, they were playing at a rate of like 72 - 74 points if you adjusted their pts including the10 game anomaly to reflect their win rate outside ov those 10 games. What is amazing, they will now be challenged to hit that 74 point mark.

So the story is production wise they continue to regress back to levels that rival last year.
Think about that within the context of:
Adding a 40sh goal scorer
Jack producing at a PPG pace
Reino playing the best of his career
Dahlin
Bogo being healthy and not totally sucking
Not having a Goalie who was abusing drugs and alcohol

Apparently the coaching staff can communicate, but the players continue to need coaching to get them to communicate on ice.

What a complete waste of a season...and the organization has pushed the fanbase to the point of breaking.

I only watched a little of the first and the last 5 minutes of the third, But I can tell you this, it is amazing how much Jack Eichel means to this team. There is ZERO offensive threat when he is out of the line up.

You have to trade another first round pick right?

There is still so much to be done with this team.

They need talent now before the whole thing collapses.

Blues pick could come into play depending on the trade Id suppose. We would need to have a Bills’ type of FA as well signing a few guys on respectable deals that can provide depth to help win immediately.
