Supposedly the Hunters called the Hawks with a recommendation that they consider flipping Boqvist to forward. Hawks demurred. We'll see if that was the right move, as his offensive skills are obvious.

Even if it is more just their shot.....oh my Forgot The Colorado College kid. And Beaudin. A forward with net front presence too would be really nice.

Forward prospect Slavin is committed to Colorado College next season but do wonder if the Hawks want him to forgo the NCAA and start his pro career early in Rockford. I’d prefer he play college a year or two first.

No matter. According to Second City Hockey, Entwistle is the only prospect in the system so he ultimately checks all the boxes of Hawks needs. SCH had yet another article about him today.

I for one did not see Coyotes maintaining their torrid pace last month or so. Imagine that all without Schmaltz (pun intended/he is talented player but maybe he would have cut into their efficient line up?).

His game has slipped since his great start, he is out of position, flailing around (making easy saves look hard, or having to make hard saves cause he overcommits) does not challenge (looking smaller than his 6'2), and lately seems to let in at least one bad goal per game. He is not ready for the NHL, after the first 3 games he has looked no better than Forsberg did last year.

They are always nice...actually more of a need to have than nice to have, but I think the Hawks have more guys that are going to the net than I can remember in quite some time: Toews, AA, Strome, Caggiula, Saad.
