What the NHL (and the fans) want. Rule changes on interference, stick in the hands, not being able to freeze the puck, etc. all were intended in generating more offense, similar to the NFL and their changed definition of pass interference, not being able to bump the receiver, etc.

Delia faced 30 shots because he’s a rebound machine. He reminds me of one of those pitching machines, only with him you put pucks in and you have no idea where the puck’s coming out. You just have to be ready to swat it in or swat it away depending which team you’re on.

only 1 of the 3 goals he gave up were off of rebounds and that one is suspect

1. he makes 2 sprawling saves with a guy at the crease and mathews banks it off of strome...he suppose have rebound control there??
2. pp deflection off a lost faceoff
3. traveras scores on a jam after a poor clearing attempt by keith long the boards after a faceoff win

in the final minute:

1 murphy fails to clear 2x leading to turnovers: leading to 3 great chances and a scramble/pileup and somehow the puck does not go in...oh and goalie int not called
2. delia with a wrap around save followed by a save from the high slot
3. seab with another poor clearing attempt and turnover
4. a mid slot tip knuckler very difficult to control; yet he made the save..
5. kruger also failed to clear to another

not to mention the open net chances they missed prior to the traveras goal...

delia was not the problem...

Yep, I know. If you watch closely, when the skater comes out from behind the net, there's a fairly good opening that is sort of triangular in shape between the arm, top of the pad, and the body. How many times have you seen a goalie do exactly as shown in the video, only to have the puck wind up in the net. The goaltender then looks all around, bewildered. Bet if he was up and was adept at protecting his 5 hole, that doesn't go in.

Ya I have said for sometime Delia dose not hold the puck enough .both Ward and Crow are not afraid to hold the puck for a whistle .Last night the whole team played different when Crow went down .I still believe Forsberg should have been given a better shake at the start of the year after a good camp ,and Ward carrying a .850 SV % .I hope they resign Forsberg, believe he has more upside then Delia .

Even after Keith clearing was knocked down the team had plenty of coverage low ,Delia should never have let that one in . And If Kane got a slashing call for his tap tap of the stick ,then some of the whacks on Murphy and Seebs should have been called late . HAWKS played a great game ,if it were the HAWKS trying to make that come back, most on here would have said the other team took their foot off the gas . I sure hope Crow is back and healthy as some of his best games are played in Montreal

I agree, plus one size doesn't fit all, it may work for someone or some, but that don't mean everyone should do it, they are playing goalie, not being a robot.

The good news is he is young and should learn better rebound control. I remember when Crow tried to play the puck early in his career, it was a turnover looking for a place to happen...

I just happen to agree with Jeremy, i really appreciate everything they've done but for me it is tough watching them in a sense of what they were and now what they are.
