I don’t know what constitutes a penalty shot anymore.
How was that any different from every other time gaudreau gets mobbed on a breakaway?

Can someone please explain to me how john hynes still has a job? This team has completely QUIT on him. When the other team scores and the players are laughing on the bench watching the video board its time for some changes. I know they aren't putting the best time on the ice, but come on now, 6 goals in one period, that happens when beluras plays canada at the world junior tournament.

3/4 of the team is a call up from the AHL. I wouldn't expect you to notice however knowing your track record.

So I simmed a lottery, and it gave the Rangers the first overall pick. So they get Hughes, the Avs get Kakko...

Whom do we take at three: Byram or Podkolzin?

- archromat

I’d go Byram. Having a monster season, great skater, defensively responsible.

But I still believe Kakko is our destiny.

Lose. Not loose. But I (frank) that up all the time too.

And yeah; they need to do that.

baha, the caps lock threw me off. At least they listened. . though a 4-3 loss would've been preferable..

If we are honest with ourselves, with a fully healthy team Calgary would beat 4 out of 5 times. The talent level is not there. Sure Devs have some, but not near enough. Hughes or Kakko would help tremendously but Devs would still be lacking. Just a bummer.

And Kuffner signs in Detroit. So 2 team lower than us in standings both just improved their prospect pool.

What astounds me about his stats is how many goals he has. He must have a heck of a shot or is extremely dynamic on the power play. His goal pace is higher than Barzal's in his draft year, and he's a defenceman.

I'd love Kakko or Hughes, but I read how many goals this guy has scored, I got intrigued.

Let's just put it this way: weigh his stats against Pietrangelo, Gudbranson, Bouwmeester, Hickey, Reinhart, Jones, Provorov... and he's scored more goals than they did in their draft year: only Ekblad (who had pretty much reached full size by that point) compares to him.

Rather than drafting one of those forwards who have difficulty comparing to the others in stats (in other years), NJ should totally target this guy if they end up 3 or 4. (Hopefully they don't get bumped down).

Just totally brutal.

From what I saw, Blackwood played pretty well and was just hung out to dry by his team.

As bad as this looks it's going to be a challenge to get below Detroit in the standings. A quick scan of both teams schedules looks like they have the harder road ahead. We do play head to head once so that will be interesting. Probably pretty ugly too.

Trust me not arguing, I think he looks like an excellent add. My only thought is he is a LHD who can qb the pp, and scores. He might be the best, but we kinda have that in Smith and Butcher already. We need a lot of help all over where LHF we might have already addressed.
