Butcher definitely has value, he is a good player. I'm not sure why you are so down on him. He plays on one of the worst teams in the league and is learning on the job while doing a good job.

Yak has very limited games and I hope the team decides to re-up because I'd like to see more from him. But he is still unproven. He's just had some good games when he's actually had playing time.

I have the impression he gets a lot of O-zone starts and comes up small on defense. He's easy to manhandle and isn't speedy enough to make up for it. Small and average speed usually doesn't equate to a top 4 guy. I know he's still learning, and has definitely made his mistakes. Just trying to choose our future wisely. I'm not super down on him though. we shall see.

Don’t matter, we are keeping pace with the rest of the losers.

Last time I checked was 54% offensive zone start which isn't a huge lean. His 5v5 corsi% was good too. I think it's easy to see the times in which he does poorly and equate that to him not being good. If he is this way in 2-3 more years, then yeah. He isn't that great but I think he'll progress.

watching the replay now. Schneider did pretty well to keep NY off the scoreboard in the 1st 5 minutes until we got the PPG to go up 1-0

I wonder if the Canucks would trade up to get the Hughes brothers reunited, given they dont win the draft lottery of course. What would that cost? What's a trade you'd take for the Devils if they were to win and Canucks called?
