Although he did have an eventful evening last night gotta think Wilson is the odd man out when healthy. TBH Teddy has kinda disappeared too in the last few.

Who has said Gudbransson was brought in as a deterrent? He was brought in to be a bottom pair RD who will add some physicality to the back end. He has done that (in top 4 minutes) so far.

I don't get how people can possibly be negative about the trade at this point. They are 3-0-1 since they picked him up, without Letang no less.

Just enjoy the games when they are playing well instead of always looking for something to complain about.

From GMJR:

ā€œWell it might still be the case [that he will have poor advanced stats], but that doesnā€™t describe why you want certain players. In Erikā€™s case heā€™s a real heart and soul guy. Heā€™s a good dressing room guy. Heā€™s got good character. He can protect our players, he puts us in stronger position to push back when we get into more physical games.

As you know, thereā€™s some teams just play a skating, skill game. There are some teams that play physical. Heā€™s going to bring that element that will help us.ā€

I'm not so sure of this. Teddy hasn't been very noticeable and they seem to really like Wilson. I think Blueger is the guy sitting. Can't wait til Rust and Letang get back.

You are right, Teddy has disappeared of late. The coaching staff will keep Wilson unless Teddy starts putting up points.

Wilson just doesn't have a pulse offensively. I think when all our injuries are back it'd give the 4th more of a punch with Teddy in the lineup.

That one specific line answered your one specific question. Ignore the facts all you want if that is what makes you happy.

It has to be hard for a young guy who was getting a ton of ice time in the minors to come up and sit in the press box while still staying sharp. He will get it back with more playing time.

Wilson won't be an offensive producer but I like that he at least brings some physicality and energy.

Being put on Cullens wing with mostly Dzone starts can make many disappear.

Gudbranson brings his touted physicality for a certain amount of games, then will coast for a few. When he's on and motivated, he can be a force. However, when he's not, he's a turnstile spectator.

You'll see.

Fair enough. When Letang returns, and the Penguins defence is fully manned again, I wonder who sits.

I don't see where he said he would deter anything?

Since you are a bit of a dummy though go find a "Cheapshots against per 60" stat and come back to me with the result. Deter =|= prevent, they are two separate things. Until you find numbers that tell a different story, I will make the case that Gud has in fact deterred cheap shots.

Dude, youā€™re seriously reaching Aussie level stubbornness. Is it deliberate? Your question was answered clear as day.
