This James Tanner sounds like he has a stick up his a** with his rant about the Islanders. Completely unprofessional and in my opinion shouldn't have been attached to this blog. |

Some advice: don’t take James Tanner seriously. He’s a tool. Ignore his posts and focus on the others and you’ll be way happier. |

I'd go with Carolina, I always enjoy a good underdog story.
CBJ needs to get their shît together or that franchise will be one big disaster next season, if all those UFA's go elsewhere |

Has something been deleted? Is this the rant that set you off?:
I hope no one says the Islanders, as they proved last night, they're a basement team unless they get stellar goaltending. They are first round fodder for whoever draws them.

Nothing was deleted, it's just considered "unprofessional" to tell the truth if someone doesn't wanna hear it. |

Wow.
They're now making decaf coffee that taste as good as regular.
Just saying.

I'd say it's between Washington and columbus (who were a pretty good team before they added all that at the deadline). I would bet money one of those two teams will come out on top in the playoffs. (and I DID put money down on Washington to win the division a few weeks ago, at 2.5 to 1 odds. Looking like I'll make a few hundy)
Then Carolina, they've bulit a pretty solid young team.
Then the Islanders. Trotz is a great coach, and he made some slim rosters in Nashville playoff teams for years. Just like he is now with the Islanders. But as much as it was pretty incredible he got those teams to the playoffs, they never went anywhere once they got there. So, just like it's amazing he's gotten them this far, the cinderella run is up. They may be a wildcard before the regular season is up.
that said, the Metro division is pretty weak, and I don't see anyone beating any of the top 3 teams from the Atlantic this year. |

yeah true, didn't really cross my mind.
I'd say they're a darkhorse. I don't expect much from them but at the same time, you never really know what can happen if Crosby and Malkin decide they want to play like they can, both at the same time.
And yes, Columbus added a lot at the deadline. If it comes together, they could very easily go on a winning streak that lasts a long time. |

Got to be the Caps, they are running pretty smooth at the right time. Islanders are my team but I can see without out the beer-soaked glasses this team is mince meat in the second season. The two forth lines play battle ready and the defence is steady, they contribute and the minutes are spread across the 6 (unlike some wanna be teams in the centre of there universe). It's the scoring that is the issue, not enough O zone kinda like Austin Matthews against the Bruins in playoffs no finish. |

Canes. They're looking pretty deadly.
If the Caps very recent turn of change in their play stays throughout the year, I'd be confident in their ability to make a run. But, they could easily revert to the team they were most of the year. |

You're a loser and if this blog wanted to be taken seriously you should have worded your response better. You sound like a 12 year old kid who is not objective, completely bias and no one should ever take your opinion seriously. |

"If the Devils had Robin Lehner, they'd be in first place, so I rank the Islanders last."
Your quote and this line proves he is just ranting off of emotions and not giving any credible opinions. If I ever see James Tanner name again I'm just going to avoid reading his useless verbal diarrhea. |

Any answer other than either of the two teams that have combined to win the last THREE Cups is just silly. Every other contender has to be looked at with much more doubt. |
