Hope he is back soon. |

Great write-up on the game. I'm extremely happy with how Backlund, Bennett, Czarnik, the defence, and the 4th line have been playing since the All-star break, and Mike Smith has upped his game too, which is important obviously. That said, and even though Johnny was more engaged last night, he's been a turnover machine for quite a few games and can't gain separation nearly as much as he was in the first half of the season. Monahan has been invisible for a month now, what's wrong with him? He's not an impact player anymore. Tkachuk isn't doing much either. Jankowski only looks like he's trying when he's on the PK. Maybe time to healthy scratch some of these guys to either let them rest because they are too tired, or give them a wake up call. Let Lazar, Dube, and Lomberg get into some games. |

What a train wreck of a roster.
Our fourth line features an AHL player we've been reluctant to play on defense at LW. A center with like 2 games NHL experience with a RW who's greatest attribute is punching people.
What I can't figure out is no matter how much we change the players the game looks remarkably similar.
Just Brutal.
Can't wait to got to the rock tomorrow and watch this crew vs Philly. |

We'll give you Coleman for Tkachuk then. |

Have to think Flames generate more money and have a larger fan base than Jersey.

Earlier this week, Devils’ Taylor Hall underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Still too early to know if or when he will be back this season.
We finally get a real update on the Hall injury |

Always with those damn facts, Tom....
We're #1 in DEBT! Explains why ownership runs the payroll like a small market team. It's not easy being the third team in a market. |

This current squad is probably the hardest team to play against the Devils have iced all year. They'll lose 2-1 every night, but that's just it.
Hope for a speedy Mueller recovery. Despite the flak he gets, he's one of the better defensive guys on the team. |

I mean the on ice products are very different but the markets are almost exactly the same. |

Mueller has displayed the skills that made him an 18th overall pick at times but he doesn't seem to think the game fast enough at this level. I feel like when you watch him you can almost see him thinking before he does something. Yak (on D) seems to think the game quicker. |

Todd Cordell: Flames squeeze out 2-1 win over Devils in Todd Cordell Bowl™ - Todd.Cordell
Ya depth is seriously lacking at the moment. Haha that 2nd PP unit of Lappin-Stafford-Agostino was quite a unique line. All better for the Tanking. Mojo clearly is missed, and lets go take a stab at him in the off season. Otherwise, there are many guys to target in the off season. Tons of cap space. Andreas Johnsson and Kaspari Kapanan are likely both on their way out, and an offer sheet could be a great option. Panarin,Douchene,Karlsson, Ferland, Dzingle, Eberle would all be worth considering on the open market. Looks like we should have about 33M cap space, so give Hall an extension with a 4M raise, and sign Nico to an extension at 6.5M AAV if he is willing. Those raises are well deserved, and we really don't have any contracts to worry about this offseason. Our top 2 are just Butcher and Zacha, who should not break the bank.
Schneids and Blackwoood could be a strong due going into next season, and we have some high end talent with a ton of cap space.

I must have missed those moments when those alleged skills were on display. |

Best +/- of any defender on the team; not including Connor '2 games' Carrick... Just saying. I know it's a horrible stat. He was actually leading the rush up ice on the (2 on 1) play he got hurt on.... |

finally a loss, but still a long 5 points away from tying LA for 2nd overall. It's amazing professional teams can be so consistently bad. The Ducks don't even have THAT bad of a roster, yet look at them. pathetic. |
