I’m a huge Jets fan. But, if you think about it seriously. The kid is a one trick pony, also not the greatest skater. And on en even more serious note. They are likely only going to be able to sign one of Laine or Conner. Conner is the more complete player. Works hard every shift.

I agree. He's a one dimensional player and his skating doesn't give you much hope that he'll develop a more complete game. If someone offers you a ridiculous package of picks and prospects that makes your organization deeper for the next few years, I think that you do it. In the salary cap era, I don't think that you can afford to pay a guy $9M to stand in the slot and wait for a pass.
