It is the likely apex of the Claude Giroux era in Philadelphia. An era which never gained traction because of the decision makers.

No the Apex was that first shift in game 6 in 2012 that eventually led to nowhere

That and goaltending (in reference to the bolded part)

It’s Letang’s fault that Ghost takes him down violently with a wrestling move instead of trying to be a man and squaring up with him? Yeah, ok RW.

No it is Letang's fault that a he got taken down by a 5'11" 180lb player. He has a history of bad injuries and what was he going to do, square up with Simmonds? No he would have lived up to his namesake Le-Tang and thrown punches at him from behind the refs? Leave the fighting and scrums to real men.

If he extended with us, I'd unload the farm for him. Not going to happen unfortunately.

I like the Montour idea. Expecting Mcquaid or Russel.

The Canes, the Flames, the Islanders, the Caps... are these teams better than us on paper? Or are these teams that just play better than we do? The Canes have been chugging along WITHOUT Jordan Staal. The Flames struggled to score and the coach made one roster change and they’re back to business. What genius has Sully done that we can praise him for? Being average while having elite talent AND playable depth? Cool. Well, I’m satisfied

Mcquaid is a good cheap 3rd pairing option I also wouldn't mind swapping Pearson for Namestnikov or Boedker. Heck I would even do Pearson for Bobby Ryan with 3 million retained. I feel a small move or 2 is all JR is going to do if any at all. Now if JR lands Stone or Nyquist some how without selling the farm and they click with Crosby or Malkin. I wouldn't be opposed to it

I expect the same amount of games for Simmonds that Malkin received for Wheeler and Oshie hits.

Yes, an OT goal in February is a crowning moment. It wasn't scoring the shootout winner in game 82 to make it into the playoffs or scoring a hat trick in game 82 to make the playoffs.

The salt is strong with this one. That said, sorry to hear about Dumo and Letang, but I actually thought Johnson looked good last night.

No those hits were different because the guy doing them was someone they cheer for so they absolutely couldn't have been dirty

No more moves please! Last nights “game” decided the playoff picture for this team let’s not compound the issues by picking up deadwood to earn the team a worse draft pick.

Should be less than Malkin got for Wheeler since Dumo actually touched the puck and Simmonds didn't leave his feet prior to contact.

Still, sucks Dumo is concussed.

Because obviously it was decided for the flyers way in advance by the league

I won't lie, if that Flyer win over the Penguins is what broke the Penguins back for making the playoffs...

I feel warm and fuzzy.
