The Lightning don't need Simmonds. No offense to Simmonds. But, he's too slow for Tampa's speedy style of play. We already have grit and leadership and intangibles out the wazoo with Callahan and Girardi.
Here is a better deal for Philly - you can have Callahan and Girardi for free if you keep Simmonds.

Agreed. Tampa doesn't have to do a damn thing, they're already in beast mode.
Top offensive group, defense is more than good and their goaltending is top notch.
Lol no they didn’t. Coyle played like crap on an already crappy team. Donato is younger, more upside AND the bruins added a pick? Take the L - Conquest
So he was playing bad on a bad team, so that means he’s gonna play bad on a good team? Bet you said that about Nino too LOL. Coyles a good player and a good fit for Boston. I think he’s gonna play some of his best hockey

How about you send Philly Girardi and take MacDonald for mentioning Callahan.
Seems like a trade just for the sake of making a trade. - gergeswillems
No. Not quite. Donato barely played so he was easily expendable. Coyle will fit in really well with the Bs. Physical guy who can score. Perfect third line player. Hopefully he can pick up his game with this change of scenery.
Read an interesting headline today:
Stone, Duchene and Dzingel healthy scratches vs NJ tonight. Hopefully that means they will be on the move soon. I really hope Boston can grab Stone. That would solidify our top six. That would fair well heading into the playoffs. Anyone know the asking price?
